yup. controlled boost is a wonderful thing. Maybe someone who knows what they're doing (ie. not me) can throw me up in that graph.

WOW I just PM Deerhunter on M-net about his 3071R stroker. His response was a link on a discussion here.

Deerhunter
"I'm at approximately 2,000 ft above sea level. The difference in spool is very apparent compared to Grand Junction (4,500 ft+). I'll do a datalog as soon as possible, but here is my recollection (based on gauge pressure):
5 psi at a tick past 2K
10 psi before 3K
20+ psi before 4K

Seat of the pants feel is VERY nice I wonder what it'll do at sea level?

BTW, I'm using a DEFI boost gauge, so I'm going to assume that it's fairly accurate.

He said he would data log later but he is on vacation. Looking at that it is IMPRESSIVE. I want, I want, I want

Default update

Did a pull while on my last road trip in FL. Swapped out the cheap-o turbo style eBay Raptor muffler for the big magnaflow 12578 = nice change.

Engine: 94 1.8L w/130k on the bottom end!
Turbo: T04E .50 compressor / .63 hot side
Manifold: BEGI's latest, coated with external "tial type" dual port
Downpipe Size/Style: home made 3" w/ WG dump under car
Exhaust Size: 3" with 3" 200 cell cat to a 3" Thrush Welded
Intercooler Core Size: 22"x9"x3"
Intake Manifold: Stock with a little port matching
Headwork: Supertech valves, springs & perches, port, polish, bowl work
Engine Management: AEM EMS
Other Spoolin' Helpers/Hurters: Twinfire w/sequential COP, Fidanza flywheel, unknown WG spring so no electronic boost control tuning till after this run.

Trans & Rear End Ratio: 5-speed, 4.1 LSD
Rear tire size: 225-50-15's

Trying to figure out what spring is in my wastegate, looks like about 14psig(from this datalog), it was supposed to be 8.7. Need to tune the boost control with this new found data. 18psi is about right but the ebc is set to start around 8psi so with the just spring pressure it's cracking early. Apparently not enough duty on the boost solenoid either, 4psi spike.
