IE, you can't just put the car in neutral, press in clutch and hit the button. Even in neutral, if you hit the button then let the clutch out, it will stop the starting process.

Personally I like the clutch disabling thing. I'd rather forget my car in gear and have the starter try to move the car vs having the engine try to move the car with 1500+ rpm after dropping the clutch.

I've accidentally cranked the car while in gear several times, always after someone else parked it in gear. It's embarrassing, but no harm has ever come of it.
A clutch drop at 1500-2000 RPM is much more likely to overcome a loosely-applied parking brake and do some damage.

We are officially kicking *** today.
Moved the Master Control room from its permanent home, to a temporary home in the small conference room, back to another temporary home set up in the back of the room where it used to be, in preparation to move it a fourth and fifth time on Thursday ending up in its permanent new home.
We went from this:
(original home of Master Control)
To this:
(ultra-temporary, no-frills workstation in conference room)
To this:
(Temporary desk for the next few days in the back of the original room)
To this:
(Original furniture has been dismantled and is being re-installed in the new room)
In three hours.
Rock.
