my plan has always been to build a carputer to datalog and take care of music and navigation. the original plan was to use a 7" touchscreen in the double din radio slot. But after seeing the tesla's dash I really want to take a 12" touchscreen and mount it sideways in the center of the dash.

I'll probably end up just doing the 7" screen, but going close to what Tesla did would be ****.

The skinny was, someone was reguistering new accounts and spamming the props system. When Brain banned those accounts, he got taunting emails from the dipshit, and he kept right on doing it. So, Brain was spending a lot of time tracking down these rogue accounts, and it was getting to be a pain in the ***.

Like most things in life, a single douchebag spoils the fun for everyone.

I'm driving in a 14hr Chumpcar race tomorrow at Sebring, if anyone gets bored and wants to come out. Car is in Exception Class and is a 1972 Porsche 914. I want the car to make it to the end of the event, but at least long enough for everyone to drive once.

Is it still running ok?

I am hoping I will be able to make it, but work may get in the way.

I'll be at Sebring for the Chumpcar race and to pick out a new helmet at Wine Country. I'll try to swing by, but will be rooting for an open-top Z32 (guys from Gainesville).

I'll try to get vids of the first hour. I'm supposed to be driving the first hour leg. I want badly to have all six drivers get a chance to drive. After that, who knows...

******** raised gas prices again last night...

What really bothers me is, those *********** never pay for gas themselves. They keep riding around in limos paid out of my taxes, and they pay for nothing.

No, they don't.
But, everything is provided for them. Housing, transportation, security, whatever they need, out of the taxpayer's pocket, just like it is in the US.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to swing by any other pits. Previous engagement Friday night + previous engagement tonight = drive down, short stay, drive bacl.

Well, the car finished the race. 65whp stock VW bus motor, woohoo! It was sputtering badly at the end, possible water in the fuel due to the two hours of rain at mid race.

I was passing cars left and right in the pouring rain because I'm either awesome or a dumbass. There were several times that I showed my door numbers to the drivers behind me at mid-corner and held onto it. I never spun. Stupid rear-mid engine Porsche was trying to spin everywhere, and you don't dare lift off the throttle in a wet corner in those things. During that rain stint I actually had six real adrenaline shot moments. The conditions would vary from regular wet pavement slick, to OMFG THERE IS OIL EVERYWHERE slick, to regular wet pavement slick, to OMFG I'M HYDROPLANING TOWARD THE WALL AT 70MPH slick, to the water is so deep my shoes are getting wet inside the car (turns 17 and 7b plus big rust holes in the floorpan).

Our youngest driver was Phil (pmhaddad on here) who is in his twenties and our eldest was Sid Finkle, an 81yr. old retired trial defense lawyer. Sid was a bit feeble and frail and had us pretty worried. He has limited mobility in the fingers of his left hand, hunches over and shuffles when he walks, needs help getting in and out of the car most of the time (actually pretty hard for me in that little car, too), and can't see or hear as well as he used to, but don't get it twisted, old Sid can DRIVE! His fast time was only two seconds off the team's best lap. Apparently he's been road racing since the early 1960's when he bought his first Morgan roadster, and knows the track at Sebring well. Kinda neat.

Anyway, I'll try to get some pictures uploaded when Phil gets them to me.
