You'll want about fiftyleven spare props. I have gone through tons of them, and really haven't flown that much.

It'll have a full spare set by default + 2 for the extra motor.

I'll also eventually look to go with CF props to reduce jello, but thats eventually.

Working on details, but going for the package... would cost me almost 600 to get it all to my door and I don't have to wait for packages from China.

Can only hope I don't find myself working with a flaker again.

Going the hexacopter route. Numbers in ecalc look good and the package seems nice.

Working details out with the original ebay auction holder, hoping to start tinkering next week on it.

Looks like they are HexTroniks, should be fun if i do some foamboard birds later. Those motors are coming with two SunnySky and a basic HK flight control board.

Also picked up a MultiWii with GPS, this way I have 3 total boards to test/try/fiddle with and use for other basic builds later.

I tend to get carried away, one last mini order enroute and I'll be able to build the Hexa and a complete diy frame quad or vtail or something like that.

And got it to lift a few inches off the carpet. Didn't do anything beyond that as it didn't have the top plate on... or anything zip tied up... FC just loose... heh.

First bind and wire up was bit annoying though, couldn't find clear schematics on what was power/grnd/signal on board and then for the rx + binding was being fussy.

Bought the wood to cut a frame and arms. Thinking I'll try those silver motors in a vtail setup, kk2.0 will go on this one (upgraded it to v1.6 firmware).

Next up is to start testing/configuring the MultiWii for hexa and wait for my Afro ESCs to show up. I sorta burnt one of the Turnigy Plush 30a while trying to get the tuning card to work... don't ask... I'm half wondering if i can fix it though as I suspect the burn out spot is a SMD format fuse.

Get those assembled!

Difference between stuff like that and this is that I didn't buy this to help put packages for installation for other people. Going to take apart the test escs from the hexa board and start building the wood vtail today I think.

Wife keeps wondering what I'm doing down in the basement with the pile of parts.

Started outlining templates for cutting of the Vtail build, all the wood has been bought and I'm just waiting on connectors (in the mail) for the wiring side of things. I do need to pickup a few more receviers that are compatible with my frsky, thinking telemetry one to use in the hexa and the basic one can go to the first Vtail.. then another basic one for the quad (i have 3 controllers... i should use them all right?)

So addictive...

Oh and brief footage from my V222 with a 808 #16 keychain wide angle strapped on. Still fairly windy/cold here.

Nice! I need to break down and buy an 808 so I can show you guys all the glorious agland out here. Also, grats on the 4k posts

I have an urge to do some fixedwing FPV and I'm trying to figure out if I want to butcher my Supercub or build something like the ibcrazy Spectre. This dude did a 3/4 scale down version that looks completely do-able, and I think I have everything to build it at the house, I'll look tonight.

I've been flying the quad again, the KK board really needs to tuning and I need to work on the landings. So much fun! I need to figure out how to mount my FPV crap on that one too, then I can really do some stupid crap.
