That one had individual motors on each boom which I haven't seen before. That would allow both rpm and pitch adjustment on all 4 rotors. I can't imagine how awesome these things will be in a few years.

Oh, duh... I thought it was a main rotor/ tail rotor micro heli, lol.

Whats cool about CP on a multirotor is someone finally made it work, and work well like a CP single rotor... It can fly inverted and do tic tocs and all that crazy 3d stuff. Too bad its so many money, and I'm quite sure he built the only controller that works with it yet... One has to imagine that this will spawn others though.

for you tl;dr types skip to 1:00 in on this video:

I think if this will scale up it will be awesome, single motor so nitro and maybe gas become an option... I don't fully understand how yaw works though, I guess its the same as a normal quad, but I thought that effect was a result of speed. Also, there are on board videos... Hearing a multirotor being run off a governor is very strange... i.e. the motor runs at a constant speed like a CP heli, which is nice since you don't get all the warbles from the dissonance of 3+ motors spinning at different speeds. But still feels strange when watching the video.

A quad does control yaw by varying rotor speed. It's the gyroscopic reaction force that causes the yaw. I bet two of the rotor heads gimble side to side.

Yeah, bashing yourself in the dome with a 700 series nitro heli has a tendency to do that. I'm sure someone will pass a law to protect us from ourselves. Sucks for the dude and his family though.

So I picked up one of the $15 Flip MWC Flight Controller 1.5 because everyone keeps telling me "Bro, you really need to stop using the KK2.0. Get something multiwii based, you will love it! Plus its super cheap, only $15." So I also bought the Bluetooth adapter, with dreams of PID tuning from my Nexus.

Big *** mistake. I already have a burning hatred for this thing. It suffers from the same problem every open-source hardware/software platform has: Too many versions and **** poor documentation that only hardware nerds understand. I have a feeling I'm eventually going to soak this thing in vodka and burn it in a trashcan.

Some people just need to learn the hard way. Sadly for many the price is too high.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is great. I'm also sure its absolutely my fault for not wanting to read the documentation.

I figured out how to make it talk to my phone, so maybe I'll keep it around a little longer

I actually just wound up taking my HC-05 DIY bluetooth adapter off since I hardly even use it. I'm not sure what you're personally struggling with but I could help you configure your setup code if that's what you're having issues with.

I finally got all my FPV shiza in, then I trashed my wood beater quad, then HobbyKing never restocked the replacement motors I needed, then I stopped flying.

I should check to see if they have them in stock... now that its been like 6 months

I put a brushless gimbal on my fixed wing, makes for some awesome footage:

I also documented the first hemp harvest in the USA in almost 60 years:
