Jesus, you went all out. Looks like the video source is the GoPro?

Did you buy one of the FatShark kits or put everything together yourself? I'd like to hear details I've been lusting after the AttitudeSD, its probably good that they are universally out of stock.

Seems you're right! Green is forward but that leaves the black props rotation the wrong way. Still hasn't flown so no biggie, but good catch

Mostly the stuff on the list I posted a couple pages ago. HK got AX2810-750s back in stock, so I grabbed them, and I made a few minor changes, but it will be along the same lines.

I forgot order some of the little detail stuff I think I'm going to need like bullet connectors and receiver wires. I didn't even think about it until my electronics guy pissed and moaned about wiring his quad on Faceyspacey last night... He said Hobbytown got him for $80 in little stupid stuff yesterday :/

GoPro, yes.

One problem with the gimbal is that I have no idea what the helicopter is doing.
The camera is always level. lolI now have it hard mounted, but i'm thinking about
flying with the supplied camera, and have the GoPro Gimbal only record video.

I bought a used FatShark Predator with Easy OSD, HK OSD, 2 cameras, 2 CP antennas, and the highly sought after 600w immersion 5.8 transmitter.
Only issue is the previous owner smoked while using them, and they reek of cigarette smoke. I put them in a box with a cup of vinegar, and that helped a lot.

Just FYI.

After reading about the differences between the Fatsharks, I choose the predators because they were cheap. Everyone says you will be happy with your first pair of Fatsharks regardless of which ones you get because you have nothing to compare them to. No need to go buy the best ones. Also, there are a lot of people that end up not liking goggles in general.

I do like the predators, and i think ill keep them until the Dominator HD comes out.

Thanks for the insight on the FS gear. I missed a set of Predators that was for sale in Santa Cruz on RCForums by about 10 minutes yesterday. Probably for the best seeing as I have nothing that actually flies at the moment.

Why the pair of OSDs? What data are they feeding you/do you find useful?

My buddy just finished his first quad. He bit off way more than I wanted to chew. Then this happened:

He's running these Multistar motors:

Turnigy Multistar 4225-390Kv 16Pole Multi-Rotor Outrunner

with SimonK reflashed HK F30 ESCs, and apparently SimonK ahs a timing problem with them. He flashed them with WiiESC last night and he doesn't crash any more. Well, the motors work all the time. I'm sure he still crashes.

Version 2.1

I think the KK2.0 made up for the imperfections of the DT700, because changing to the new motors, and nothing else, it does not fly right.

It is very twitchy, and oscillates some. Still very flyable, but not right.

I did swap props as well, so Im going to go back to the slowfly props, and see if that's the "problem".

Default first real fpv flight

It was going pretty well till the beeper went off and I tried to land, lol. When I charged the battery it took 3090 mah, its rated 3000. Really should have started with a fresh batt, lol.

This helped me a lot with the hover, and it made landing a lot softer.

Ok, that's all kinds of win. Flew the Tri yesterday and couldn't get it to hover stable to save my life. I'm not going to bother to try to program this until I figure out how to get Open9x(OpenTX?) onto my TX. The default firmware on this thing is horrendous.

Dammit, I tried to build little wooden motor mount things like that out of 3mm ply, but my lack of coordination and bronze age woodworking tools combined to provide less than stellar results.
