Hmm. Not that it wouldn't rape the **** out of me at the track, but here's my critisim:
1. Bolted in cage?
2. Molded CF around stock gauge hood, then you don't even mount your gagues in it.
3. Nice slanted, blank, cf center console, then you mount your switches slightly out of reach on some wart of a switch panel. (ever try reaching sideways while strapped into a race seat?)
4. Shifter hole looks akward.
That's it for now, I'm sure I'll find more to hate later. Sav, hope you kick some ***.

2. It's not molded over, its just a thin dry carbon panel. You think it would look better with no dash/center console? (hint, take a look at Savington's car pictures with no dash)
3. Easier to reach the center console right there. The seat is so far back (with floor mounted pedal assembly) that you wouldn't be able to reach the center console. This is how the majority of professional race cars are.
4. Awww, boo hoo.

1. Aluminum chassis. Can't weld steel to aluminum.

1. fair enough, I'm now more impressed, knowing it's an aluminum chassis.
2. Didn't mean to say they molded CF over the stock dash, it does look like a complete replacement. I'm just saying if you're going to spend the time to mold the gauge hood, put the gauges in there. My , perhaps that's due to line of sight with the lowered seat.
3. Easier shimisher, still looks akward.
4. YOU WILL NEVER STOP ME FROM COMPLAINING! My gf taught me that one.

Photographer is editing photos. Today didn't go as well as I had hoped. Only 4 sessions and we spent 2 of them working out the kinks from the rebuild. Weren't able to get the wing or suspension dialed in time and was only able to do a 1:58.1, which I'm not pleased with at all.
Taking new tires, new brakes, and a few small adjustments to Calspeed this weekend. We have a full day to dial the car in before competition on Sunday which will help immensely.

Isn't this the same track?
Super Lap Battle Time Attack Records
In which case you ran two seconds over the third place lap record for limited FR (which I think is your class). Nothing to be ashamed of with an untuned car, but always good to have goals.
Keep up the strong work Sav and everyone involved, you're making us all very jealous, but also very proud!
Are your headlight lids just bolted to the hood? Looks like one's lift at speed, although I'm sure you noticed.

i was afraid of that sav. have you run faster than that before? not good to change a bunch of stuff before an event with no time for testing. my friend wanted me to swap out my entire suspension with his before a redline event at VIR last year. i didn't want to even if it was better just because i'd have to learn a new track and new suspension setup during the event.
that sounds like a fast lap time nonetheless, and your car looks great! get it dialed in quick.
