no, make the table 100% across -- especially if you're still loaded with the default table.

Oh, so we are talking about the MAT Air Density Table? instead of the 111 to 96 sweep it does just lock it at 100%?

Not sure how much it matters, but I am using the stock IAT in the intake elbow pre TB for the MSM. Not a nicely reactive GM open element.

IMO I never understood the need for any of those tables to go below 100, I've never seen a car get hot and require so much less fuel that a global correction needed to pull even 4% (with your 96% setting).
So that's one of the issues, but likely not the only one. There's also the CLT/MAT table that I wanted to mess with but never got a chance to. It's next to the air density correction one on the drop down.
Schmoozer Joe was telling me about how you can dial out hot restart funkiness with that, but I didn't test it much because my car was already hot re-starting good.

I put them all to 100 and will report back if that seems to be a fix for the hot start idle. I'm going to try and do small incremental changes here so I can really dial this thing into a 'get in and go... without laptop' car.

Look at your logs. You can actually log the Fuel Air Temp Correction ("Fuel: Air cor") in MegaLogViewer.

You will have MAT affected hot restarts if:

1) Your intake sensor is recording a real or imaginary (heat soaked sensor) MAT that is above ambient.
AND
2) You have a correction set that is less than 100% at that MAT value, so that fuel is pulled.

Your logs can tell you these things, you don't have to guess.

But, the sequence given by Scott and Vlad is correct. Get rid of excess MAT correction, then tune for normal conditions; then, if still needed, address hot restarts with slightly fat idle AFR, and EGO. I would also add some ASE as EGO won't kick in right away if you have Innovate O2 sensor.

Using an AEM Wideband Failsafe setup, not sure how it ranks on the response time scales.

That one never has made sense to me. On MSextra, no one has ever taken that to a satisfactory conclusion. I think it would make things worse, not better.

If you can find out how to use CLT/MAT please let us know.

Oh, here is my rant/dissertation from another thread: Post 18

I'm just saying that, with Innovate, the controller resets during the low voltage at start-up, and gives no reading until about 10 seconds in.
