This thread adds to my motivation of getting more work done on my car!
We still need to have a PA meet up...

I'm definitely down to meet up sometime. As well as lend a hand, as I've now built two exhausts, so I'm getting a little bit better at that.

Then I remember the target afr table. Which is setup to be conservative and how auto tune adjusts the fuel (I think, but correct me if I'm wrong). So I just made it very rich and then let auto tune go to town and.....IT WORKED! It still needs smoothing out as I just made it rich and had like two seconds before the laptop died. But oh my god. The boost, the torque. I almost threw up and crashed in second gear because I was so taken aback. More tuning and noob questions to come.
where's my props homie?

Haha. How many props do you get from me? All of them. But for real that definitely helped me a bootload and I had just spent like 20 minutes hand copying the fuel table, cell by cell, from another member, when you told me that.

I wish i could have some sort of epiphany and get mine running. I think I have problems with my ASE, or WE settings, but i cant get it to start/idle right together. It either starts pretty good and idles pig rich, or I get the idle AFR's good after it's warm, then it wont start.

Haha I understand. My start up/idle sucks. It always squeals the alternator belt and until it reaches 160*coolant temp idles at about 12:1.

So more noob questions. What do I need to screw with to get it to idle/start nicely. IE idle at 800rpm(I read something about spark angle for this?), start when its cold, not run pig rich until its hot?

Also it does this weird high idle thing. Not all of the time, but very frequently. If I come off the gas (coasting low rpms, or clutch in) once it drops to 2000rpm or less it kicks up to at least 2000rpm's or as high as 3000 and will sit there for 15-30 seconds before settling back down. This is quite embarrassing in traffic. I will data log it. It's unusual because it seems to do it almost randomly.

Launch control, do I need it? No, do I want it? Very badly. I know it's supposed to be wired to the clutch, but could I wire it to a separate switch, like something dash mounted? In my mind this would work because it's would only operate when stopped or under a certain speed or something. I'm not entirely sure. I promise I'm not going to go out and abuse this right away I just know I'll want the functionality in the future so I might as well wire it up now. Is this some that I have to ask reverant how to wire, since he built the unit?

Threadssurection! So I moved my boost gauge to a different spot and all of a sudden my tune sucked and was really lean. So I noticed that the line connected to the megasquirt used to be twisted. Is it possible that because the hose was kinked slightly that it was getting different readings now that it's unkinked? I auto tuned it to the rescue and now it seems ok. So is it logical that it was because it kinked? As far as I can tell there are no leaks in my vacuum lines to the boost gauge/ecu?
