It seems that I can't get enough manual adjustment out of my iac valve. I can only get it down to 1250 rpms, but now it's smooth.

Is the spark angle holding steady? My puny 1.6L holds 875rpms dead flat with a/c on off. Using tableswitching to hold the timing at 17* with a/c and 12* without, made it that much better.

I even turned the steering wheel. The idle only fluctuates from 900 to 1200 when the AC is on.

I have not done any tuning and it does seem to be rich. I did notice that turning on the AC does not automatically turn on the condensor fan.
Can anyone else confirm that the condenser fan is working on their unit? I've tested everyone's unit on the bench and it did work.

A log and an MSQ (if you have changed anything compared to what I sent you) would help.

Btw, if after starting your idle stays high, like more than 1400rpm, and it refuses to come down, check if the "CL IDLE" indication in TunerStudio is displayed. If not, then you are not in closed loop idle mode, check your TPS and your vaccum. If your TPS is not properly calibrated and shows more than 0% at idle, you need to calibrate it. If your idle vaccum is lower than 29kPa, you need to decrease the "PID Lockout max decel load" value under "Startup/Idle" -> "Closed Loop Idle PID Settings", set it to a few kPa lower than your idle. If you idle at say, 27kPa with no loads on, set it to 24-25. After that and a burn, you should get a CL Idle indication 4 seconds after the TPS is < 1% and your vaccum is a few kPa higher than the set point.

My idle was like Josephs. I made sure I was entering CL Idle on TunerStudio and then dialled in lower RPM targets and turned up the "I" gain on the PID settings. Job done.

I now idle at 950rpm when warm and using PS, lights and the heaters don't effect idle (it drops to around 800-850ish briefly) I also suffer no oscillations.

Fixed it, I had a vacuum leak under the manifold. I guess this is what I get for boosting the car and adding a ms at the same time!

Just a note. This is with the untuned unit as received, I have not made any software changes. I only changed the jumper setting on the fans (91 main, 96 condenser). The condenser fan does come on, but only comes on when the main fan turns on and they both turn off together too. I'll check to see if its activating the fans at the same time as the AC compressor.

Both fans should turn on when you switch the A/C on. Specifically, the should turn on half a second after the compressor turns on. This is to make it a little easier for the MS to handle the extra load.

Yeah, Im a noob...

I'm trying to connect the TunerStudio to my E-DIYPNP. TS is not detecting the ECU and I'm trying to find the uS.ini file for it but can't seem to find it anywhere. Where can I get the us2.ini file?

I started the car without the AC on and it idles just fine. After a while the first fan turned on, then later on the second fan came on. I then turned on the AC with the engine warmed up. When the compressor is activated, the idle dips a bit, then rises and then settles. Seems like it can be tuned to correct it. Both fans stay on with the AC engaged and disengaged, but the car was already hot.

I must say kudos to you guys, it starts easy and runs by just plugging it in.

Download this file, the ini file is inside it. This applies to you only Ari, others should ask me which file they need to download.

Could you send me one of the similar base maps you said you had now I don't want to waste time working on mine when I could have a much better chance of making it run good with a better map. Thanks.

You need a GB unit to make it work properly with the provided basemap. I can send you a basemap after I'm done building the GB units.

Anyone ever have a LC-1 start reading full lean during idle and then dying? This started happening after a cold start stall.

Just stumbling, not responding to inputs, and stalling.

Datalog and MSQ if you've changed anything please.

I just went outside and the car repeated the same behavior as yesterday. It idled decently until it reached a CLT of approximately 160 degrees and then the A/F gauge started getting leaner until it read full lean. I've attached my MSQ and a short datalog of me trying to keep it running after stalled once.

Try recalibrating the LC-1, if its not calibrated properly then your tune may be totally off and the readings too. Also, if you are too rich, it may show full lean (as there is so much fuel that is trapping oxygen molecules together and the O2 sensor is picking them up).
