Also some custom SADFab (aka sean) products. Oil temp adapter from BSPT to NPT. This will go in the oil pressure port. Its kind of an experiment. Its a post cooler location, but it also wont see much flow. So i'm hoping it will at least capture stead state cooling data. But I bet it will lag real temps pretty good. Also some delrin fuel rail spacers.
Big +1 for having a radius on that part. Blows my mind how something so simple is ignored by so many folks. Keep up the good work, makes me want to clean up my engine bay, it's full of loose hoses everywhere.
Its a temp sensor, so i'm not actually sure how well it will work. I'm curious though, seems like pressurized oil wont have many air bubbles in it, but who knows if it will stagnate.
Curious why you rebuilt it, was it acting up or not working? I accidentally took my VVT actuator apart once, wow what a pain it was to reassemble correctly. I would not ever take it apart again unless it wasn't working right.
I just torqued mine to about 10-12 ft*lbs. Probably not correct but have had no problems, couldn't find a torque spec at the time.
This motor died due to dead bearing. so I wanted to get every possible oil path cleaned out. It really wasn't bad, just lost the apex springs like 5 times.
It looks like you paid as much attention to where the seals went as I did. I read someplace (after pulling it apart) that you are supposed to get the seals in the original locations in order for them to seat properly. Hope that fella was wrong!
Can I get some input on this spark map. I built it based off a map I built for Ed last year. It should be quite conservative, and a good starting point. I have an EGT sensor so if its too retarded I will be able to tell.
At 310kPa, 6,500, I run 14* on E85. Could run more, have run more, but that's what I'm at right now. I've run 17* @ whatever kpa 38 PSI is around 7500-8500 on E85 with no knock. Pretty sure no knock, because would esplode at that boost level if it knocked.
For now Oregon 92. And my goal is 350hp to start with. So 20+ psi? The plan was to go to the dyno and raise boost until I stop making power, or start knocking
