DGR Coilovers - Anybody got their hands on these yet?

LOL. Now the DGR Tawain company is directly selling on ebay to USA for a cheaper price than Russ:

So much for Russ being the exclusive distributor for USA ..... LOL
Or being an exclusive distributor was just another lie of his?

For that kinda money, I'd get Stance suspension....though it seems not much is being said about them lately...but for awhile it was everywhere and I never heard much about bad quality from them....or were they one of the first mass produced Tiwanese generic suspension to hit the market and all these other companies are the same ****...hmmm.

Someone should tell these poor folks at my350z that the ChaseAero user is DGR aka Russ hyping his own product:

Here's what I hate. I was contacted out of the blue cause my name was suggested to be a local evaluator. I knew nothing of DGR because I got contacted from Russ.
I've spoken to Russ before and whatever, I don't care about his story.
What bothers me is this: Here I go thinking he wants to give me a set to try out on my car and then possibly keep or return, fine I agree to that. I have teins on the way and if anything I could swap them out and see what I think of the teins in comparison. I have driven under a lot of setups, I already have a good suspension on the way and I don't need them...I like taking photos and reviewing stuff so I figured why not.
When we start working out the details, He writes this:
Then I go back and read his threads on m.net and keep seeing stuff like this:
don't contact me to test your product, allude to acutally given me a set to try and really drive on them...then tell me no, drive my car, meanwhile telling people you are just looking for the right guy.

I don't mind comping a set to the right person. I just need to get in touch with them. I've reached out to a few and I'd like to find someone in the Baltimore/ DC region. I'd like to be able to stay in touch and check in once a month or so. I have the kit on my car, but its rarely ever driven; so my insights may not be the same - plus, we know what happens when one reviews their own product. I have the perfect guy for the NC kit, but an NA/NB set would be good to have out there as well.

Street is easy to satisfy, racers are harder if they are competing since "good enough"…is not good enough as they say. Track day folks…many can't drive well or set up a car well. It's a bit harder to find a good trackie for damper evaluations.
However dynoing a few samples will start to shed some light. Maybe they are crap after all.
If the guy just wants a post-praise-on-the-forums person then the dampers are crap. If they were good that would not be necessary. Since races could be won, people copy what the fast guys run etc. Heck you could get praise for Monroe shocks easily, they work fine for many people who are not enthusiasts or into performance driving.

I didnt have plans to track this year, but you never know. I would autox the crap out of them. Besides, anyone that wants a track setup probably doesn't want DGR coilovers, so track evaluations shouldn't be necessary.
The typical purchaser isn't going to be thinking track setup either...
It's kinda like tiens, they are great for the street, but look whats happening to everyone that is serious about tracking the miata....off they go.
The main thing was, I was contacted out of the blue to be an unbiased evaluator. I can't evaluate a product by driving it around baltimore for an afternoon. I'd want to hold them, measure them, adjust them, compare them, etc, before I even would want to drive on them.

Since you post alot and have some forum-cred he wants you to drive around the block in his car. Then post up a storm praising them and answering questions. In return…you can buy a set from him at a lower price, but one which still allows him a few hundred profit.

To be fair, I don't think Russ has any say in what happened at Chaser. He did his darnest to make good, but I think the issues were all beyond him. He's just a sales guy, now he's at a new place, selling.
You think I paid for my turbo kit? I love BEGI! Everyone should buy from them.

Yeah I dont know but it almost seems like Chaser thought they had a market cornered and then starting cutting those corners and it went south. I am wondering in total how many accounts they have screwed up cause since I have been around, over a year, they havent come through on ONE order or account without serious issues...

This - there are plenty of well-known, qualified members here who have extensive driving experience on track/autocross with different competing or better suspensions - an evaluation from someone with proper experience carries MUCH more weight than "how about someone try them". I don't know about everyone else, but I pretty much ignore the posts about "these new coilovers ROCK!" if that person isn't known to have tried many other suspensions or have good driving experience, they're not worth much.
Agreed, I need the right person for the job.

I recently discussed some shock dyno antics where my buddy can make two shocks give an identical shock dyno, yet perform worlds apart. He said something like "A shock dyno won't tell you if a shock is 'great' but it can tell you if it's a bad shock".
