Seems like the wastegate is set at about 10 psi. Though I have read it is a 12psi waste gate. Maybe boost leak? EBC should be hooked up in the next couple days along with VSS. Grabbed a 3rd gear pull and its looking pretty good I think.

Also switched in the new BOV and couldn't get it to work. I think I just fail at adjusting them. Also my cheap amazon air filter fell of so that needs to be fixed too. Otherwise everything seems to be running well. 1st is useless in the rain above 3000 rpm. And I got 2nd to break loose in a straight line once or twice too.

Did a little heat shielding, and wired up EBC.
It isn't plumbed yet because I need new fittings for the solenoid. The ones provided are too small for the vacuum tubing I use. I'm going to go grab some 1/8th npt to 5/16th hose barb tomorrow when the stores open up. Wastegate was hitting about 10psi but with quite a bit of preload. I'm going to back off the preload a little bit and stick with 10psi for now.
Virtual Dyno says 204hp and like 178ft/lbs of torque but it was with a 3rd gear pull and the weight isn't exact so it doesn't really mean anything.
I would like to get on the dyno before I go back to school. But I would need to have EBC setup and ready to go. Maybe I will come back for a weekend in the next month and try and get some dyno time. Curly is English racing open on weekends?

Question about BOVs. I put on a Greddy BOV I bought from a member on here that seems to be authentic. I hooked it up and tried my hand at adjusting it. I loosened it as much as I thought I could without it backing out and I still got compressor surge. Forgive my noobness but I should be able to test this by just opening the throttle with my hand and revving it up then snapping it closed. With the Greddy hooked up I get the cho cho cho coming from the compressor. But when I hook up the integrated CBV thats on my turbo I get a nice pshhh. Do I need to adjust the Greddy more or is my testing wrong?

Some logs playing with EBC. I haven't had a good long period of time to sit down and really learn it so I have been making small changes to see what affects what.
None of these are anywhere near tuned (and some of them are downright ugly) but any advice is awesome.
Also if anybody has noticed but my tps is going crazy. It shoots up over 100% then back down below 100. And at idle it is constantly moving. Hoping to find a replacement, or a good one to test with. Anybody local have the BMW tps?

In other news, planning on a trip to seattle this weekend, and taking the Miata, hopefully it stays in one piece.
Curly shoot me a pm if you are free on Sunday and could give my tune/setup a once over before I head out. I could use a set of experienced eyes to see if I missed anything obvious.
I aslo tried to fix the dipstick popping up:
Its an O'Reilly replacement 323GTX valve. We will see how it works.

I'm still suprised I got the turbo in when I did. Looking back on the manifold build process I thought a week was enough time but really it wasn't. I got really lucky on a couple things (oil line, intercooler stuff) and had some good help along the way.
I should probably start a list of mistakes if I want to be true to the title.
1. 1.6
2. Not buying a car with a hardtop
3. Not using a standard T3 turbo
4. Not building a Log Manifold
5. Using 1.25 pipe.
6. RX8 injectors instead of GT500
Feel free to add whatever other stuff I messed up
Curly is there a reason I can't edit my original post and add that list to it?
