Oscillations, that's another matter. I can hold 800-1000 all day long, but staying steady inside that window is where I struggle most.

There's a PID lockout switch in MS2, but I don't know what pin it listens to. MS2 don't have enough i/o as is, so I never looked into it harder.

Oh yeah, never closing the valve is good for me too. If I left that on occasionally it would not reopen the valve and stall at low rpm. It's tricky though, because if you set the table values too high you won't be able to enter overrun on vacuum.
As of now, open valve for me = boost leak. Waiting on another bung to fix that.

PE0, what is?

Ah, flex. That be launch, wonder if it can do both lol

Don't buy MS2....

Didn't you retrofit a NB throttle body or something? I want one, with it's ingenious internal ducting and ****.

I think the point is that it can do both because it should be the same as launch.
MS3 doesnt seem to have the option.

interdasting
thanks for posting the settings, I'll have to compare notes.
it's funny cause on my cars I have exactly the opposite problems: holding steady and smooth idle is ez-pz, but the whole stall or high idle every once in a blue moon is where I struggle.

MS3 has dope idle timing correction. Also tooning fuel and spark better.

I really wish I had idle VE table, it's one of the reasons I think I oscillate so easy. If I run o2 correction down low to hold a steady AFR I can't run adaptive timing otherwise it's a gnat's fart away from going into a massive feedback loop, one bad enough to stall the car occasionally.

It seems my idle wants less fuel as it settles, but it won't ever settle down in time for a stoplight if I leave it lean on entry, so what's the point? I leave it rich entering CL now. My solution has been o2 compensation down low, seems to be the best I can get it.

I've never used idle VE table, and I have a great idle with a ton of throttled volume. That's not your problem.

You shouldn't need O2 correction down low for it to idle steady. I haven't dug through this thread, but if you have one on this issue, a datalog would probably shine some light on your problem.

I would O2 off at idle RPMs and have the timing feedback going. That will prevent it from ever stalling. If it goes lean at any time at idle enough to STALL IT, you have a large tuning problem but that can be fixed, whether it's WUE, AIT correction, or VE. Probably one of those 3 if your voltage at idle is rock solid. If voltage is moving around, there's your problem.

I don't think MS2 has the timing feedback.

I only go lean enough to stall on my first cold start of the day, and only after I back out and shift back to first. AFR reads 10-12, and jumps to 22.4 on any throttle input. It does the same if I start up lean, I adjust it (usually) every day and try something new, lean don't work, rich don't work, i don't know what works there yet. I hate tuning warm up and starts.

This isn't anything to do with CL idle, and you'd be exceptionally talented to stall my car once it's at temp.

My idle likes to bounce from 13.8 to 15.2 or so, usually comes into closed loop 14.7 or better, then drops to 13.8 before coming around to 14.3 as I ask of it. From my fuel table it makes sense, it has fuel on overrun to catch an idle near 1500, it settles to a lower RPM ~1k, so the fueling goes slightly rich, then O2 correction pulls it where it needs to be. It will idle steady if I turn O2 correction off, but it will idle anywhere in that range and I don't like that.

If this is my biggest issue, an occasional 200rpm wavering idle, well ****, I'm pretty pleased!

And yes, Aidan, MS2 barely has closed loop fed idle advance, but it is there and works a boss if O2 correction isn't going.

edit: fuel table, see the spike in fuel low load ~1500rpm. My car likes that, does not want it replaced with AE, have tried. e85/91

And out of all the mess a garage starts to appear. We spent a good 4 hours unpacking today. My new welding table is so much nicer than the floor.

Started making a to-do list for MRLS. Also still trying to get my hands on synchromesh. Is anyone a dealer and can put an order through for me? I can pick it up at the dist center in portland.

Any suggestions for the list?

Amsoil Syncromesh ordered. Going to have Hailey pick it up today.

Snapped some pictures last night after cleaning up when Ed was over.

Geeze you guys are boring today. Busy day at work @hi_im_sean, @deezums.

Does anyone know if NA and NB wheel bearings are the same? Trying to decide what we need to pack for spares.

Garage looks good. I think you have more sq. footage than me actually!

750sq/ft. No lift though.

Or lathe, but also you seem to have about 10 less bikes and no motor cycle and only one project car...

Bikes haven't been moved yet. Motorcycle parks outside. Other motorcycle parks outside. Project car has a lean-to on the side of the house and can be moved into the garage as needed.
Work has a lathe and mill. So I haven't needed one yet.

Oh and Amsoil update. Turns out there is a dist. center in portland. So @Savington put an order together for me and I can just go pick it up. Good price too. Anyone in the area who wants amsoil should try it out.

I've been in court all morning, they make a big deal about expired tags...

How's your hood do that?

You say cigarette somethings, I want one. Bad.

I'mma go put brakes on instead. My car goes ching-ching-ching as I drive down the street. It annoys me so.

I cut the stops.
I think my lighter socket is wired backwards.
The brakes are ****.
