I cant go and datalog because my laptop has no battery and my car charger isnt working.. bollocks.. ill have to get my usb to rs232 changer back
i also noticed that the gauge reads about .8:1 AFR off the gauge in the ecu.. what would cause that? i set the ecu for wideband and Innovate PLX 0.0-5.0 as i have an MTX-L

If you don't have cells for the boosted values it won't correct them. There is a big difference in the ratio of fuel to air that I want to run between 3 psi and 8 psi or 12 psi. It also didn't go up to 7000 rpm and that bugged me a little. And then I didn't like some of the fuel ratios in the 3-5000 rpm cruise cells and elsewhere. It just wasn't what works well.

So if i go ahead and run VE analyse with this table it should give me a fairly good fuel table to run with 200kPa?
out of curiosity and in the quest to understand this, how does the ecu use the AFR table in respect to the Fuel Table? for arguments sake what if i don't use ve analyse, does the fuel table ultimately control the AFR table or visa versa? or do they run independently?

-Your engine might not be able to handle 200kpa
-Your injectors might not have the headroom to get to 140kpa
-Your fueling should always be tuned in stages. Tune the car with the wastegate open initially and get the naturally aspirated cells right first. It will take an hour or so of mixed driving with VEAL on and set to "easy".
-You need to set overboost protection very low and monitor your duty cycle carefully as you incrementally increase the overboost limit while tuning with VEAL. You may find the base wastegate pressure will exceed your injector capacity putting you at risk for detonation even at a couple of psi, since you still have stock 1.6 injectors. Be cautious and incremental to find those limits, and when your duty cycle gets to 90% set your overboost protection at that psi to prevent it from exceeding safe limits. You don't want lean detonation.
Unless your laptop maintains a charge better than mine, you might look into a power inverter to help charge it while tuning. Mine plugs into the cigarette lighter.

That clears up alot thank you. when buying the VEAL should i bother getting the TS and megalog viewer package?
ill go ahead and set my overboost to 110 KPa and do a log at slow acceleration and WOT. i have a laptop here that has a 15 - 20 minute battery life, and a friend has an inverter i can borrow if needs be. itll be enough to get a few logs going

just did some logs. i set the overboost to 120 and i hit that in second gear at wot.. my AFR was ok up to 110 KPa. it said i hit 100% Duty cycle at around 120.. this is what ive read from it.. am i on the right track to understanding it??
i did a slow acceleration down the hill and full WOT uo the hill
