Not bother getting that bolt out.</p><p>So that just leaves crossing my fingers the crank is okay. If so, won't be much of a set back. If it is, I have my old crank, and I just have to spend $ on bearings and maybe a polish. So uh, fingers crossed.</p>

<p>So, I've been a member of this forum for a while now. And as such, I hope you understand I know exactly what I mean when I say:</p><p>We went 100% FaeFae on dis ish....</p><p><br />Haters gunna hate, but I wanted the sprocket off. Beers were consumed. No automotive store had a thin enough gear puller, and the pry bars kept braking the sides of the sprocket. So, we decided to uh, heat the sprocket up so the metal would expand some. And all we had was oxy, not propane. But we did have an angle grinder.... So we used that.&nbsp;And then pryed on it from both sides, and hit the sprocket repeatedly with a hammer over. and over. and over. and over. And now&nbsp;It's off, the crank is fine, the new sprocket is on. Can't hate on it if it worked.

 

Anybody who has wielded a grinder and cutoff wheel in tight quarters will agree there was some skill involved in that procedure.

 

You should get a face shield for grinding. Exploded grinding disc/cutoff wheel to the face is not pleasant.
