Have you guys used the cobalt pads in enduros before?

I'd be a little worried about a set lasting 12+ hours, but it really depends on if you keep them from overheating. If you get them hot enough, they will disintegrate in hours instead of tens of hours.

Most of my experience with cobalts is on heavy, higher hp fwd cars though.

We used used front pads and new rear pads in our enduro car, 8 hours.

https://www.miataturbo.net/build-thr...3-greta-84775/

The car stopped amazingly for those 8 hours. The fronts were done at the end, although again, they were at about half life when we started, and not the optimized pads (runs zero shims and uses that space for moar padz). The rears looked untouched.

It now has 1.8 brakes with optimized fronts and standard 1.8 rears. We'll see how they last. But I'm full confident in them for a 12 hour enduro at least.

We use PFC 06's for multiple events on our 1.8L Chump Car. They have been superseded, but I have used their replacement with good results.

You mentioned wanting to do traction control down the road. You want my spare VR conditioner board?

https://www.miataturbo.net/ecus-tuni...itioner-85516/

Thought about it but honestly with the shocks and tires the car has silly amounts of grip I don't need traction control especially since this won't be a 300+whp street brawler

So a little update, I know it's been quiet for a while.
I went on a trip to Japan to race RWB Porsches, I'll have a post about that with lots of photos soon.
As far as Laz, my upgraded turbo is almost ready. That will go on as well as a Honda IM that I've been sitting on for a bit and we will retune. Hoping for similar lower with less boost for turbo reliability and more power up top where the car died off before with the IM change.

No more FFD wheels?

RPF1s are lighter I'm sure.

Got a few updates to share, regarding life and car.
Photo from the last event I did at the ridge

Bought an awesome Axis Power hood

I will be venting it and then the whole car will get resprayed red, but not classic red.
Here is the vent I plan on adding
Genesis Technologies | Carbon Fiber Roof Louver, GA3125
Car is currently having the front half of the cage added, first I was just going to redo the door bars make use of the additional space of the gutted doors, then the local miata guys convinced that I need to race it, so the plan is to get my license in March and go from there. After doing two pairs of 8 hour enduros with our VVT swapped NA enduro race car, wheel to wheel is where it is at. I think Laz racing sprint races will be a nice complement to our endurance schedule next season.

After the car is back from the cage we will put on the Honda intake manifold, new intercooler, redo the ducting, put power steering back in, retune the car and hopefully see what it makes and have a nice reliable tune for the upcoming season. I have a lot of little stuff I want to clean up on the car, I think it will be quite awesome once it is all said and done.

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to fly to Japan and participate in the Idler's 12 Hour Enduro at Motegi Raceway with RWB. I'll have a long overdue post on that later however we have a local RWB 993 now, a car originally built in Japan by Nakai san and it has since traveled to Canada, then California, and now it has a new home up here. I had the opportunity to help put MCS single adjustable dampers on it fix the abysmal ride quality and handling, and then the opportunity to drive it fairly extensively. I want one even more now, my biggest complaint when racing an RWB 993 in Japan was the suspension that both rode horribly and was too soft in the corners, ultimately the worst of both worlds. The MCS transform the car, it now has the roadholding performance to back up the looks. It really is a piece of art, I think it is aptly called Midas Touch.

dat *** though

Also a huge thanks to my friend Nial (stormin norman on here) for getting me a pair of GV large front canards for Laz, don't have a photo quite this moment but the craftsmanship and quality on the part is top notch, well worth the wait and price.

I'll have more updates throughout the winter as the car progresses, and expect a post shortly for the full Japan trip.

Can't wait to see how the new turbo holds up at the track. Who did the hybrid build? BNR?

What compressor wheel did you decide to use?

I'm not much of an RWB fanboi, but its nice to see someone who wants to to go as good as it looks. That's a great looking car.
