Is there a name for that type? That look?

I'm looking for a single-word term to describe the obese, unattractive, blue hair, boots, fishnets, ironic backpack, all-in on ugliness beast who says to herself, "I'm embracing the ugly because there's no hope, and I'm sassy. So now I'll pretend as though my lack of sexual interaction is in protest, and if I **** off dad in the process, bonus."

 

I believe the word you are looking for is lesbian. They may not say they are now but I think there is a strong probability they will come out sooner or later, which is silly in this day and age. But what about people like that makes sense anyhow?

 

As a psych major and, for a brief time, a counselor, I can report that sometimes women will make themselves unattractive to men purposefully because of childhood molestation.

Many who choose to live as lesbians are not doing so out of innate attraction to other women, but rather a need to find a loving partner in life when they have a deep repulsion for men.

Back to the election, please do not discount the perceived reality of many otherwise intelligent young people who have heard multiple times and had reinforced that Trump was a rapist, a homophobe, a racist, a fascist, etc. They have been fed very well-constructed video clips for years in their feeds on TikTok, IG, FB, Twatter, etc. and have heard nothing countering their validity. I spoke with an intelligent 25yr old female yesterday who was legitimately concerned because that was all she had EVER heard of the man, through no fault of her own. Marketing, indoctrination, and propaganda are actively working in the new media and unless someone is knowledgeable of where to look for different opinions, they aren't easy to find and they aren't being paid to show up in feeds. I have trouble finding positive stories online and I do actively pursure them.

Please, as Joe Perez insightfully asked, do be gracious and of generous spirit with those who have been psychologically manipulated by bad people. It's not always them. Treat them as battered yet codependent women in many cases. Be compassionate to those who are frightened and even to those who are full of anger. They know not what they do.

 

Our extremely awesome nanny from years ago ended up divorcing her husband as she felt she was a lesbian. She had been date-raped as a teen, and had a child from the rape that she then adopted. What you described above is what I think happened with her....lesbianism as coping mechanism. We went to the wedding to her now female partner.

 

Some of us expected this, which is probably why we seemed so apoplectic when it looked like Harris had a chance.

Serious question... there has been a lot of discussion about the large numbers of illegals being let into the US for the purpose of altering the 2024 election. The election is over, and it didn't work. Why are they still letting them in?

I can't attest to the other states, but at least in NC, the governor's race was very one-sided. What little campaign Mark Robinson ran, which was staunchly anti-abortion despite the hypocrisy of he and his wife having had an abortion, was further mired in controversy over he and his wife's childcare business and his other gaffes such as endorsing slavery. If not for one good pro-2A speech he gave, he never would have been the candidate, and didn't even have Trump's endorsement. I know more than a handful of Republican voters that refused to vote for Robinson, with many either opting not to vote for Governor (because Stein is just as big a scumbag on the opposite end of the spectrum), or voting for the Libertarian candidate "in protest" so to speak.

I do think that overturning Roe v. Wade could legitimately explain the swing state delta, with more independent and female voters choosing Trump for President, but erring on the side of pro-choice candidates at the state level.
