"Look, I come from a middle-class background. We didn't learn all that fancy accounting that White people have. Also, did you forget that math is racist? So it's not my fault, it's the fault of the institutionalized racism created over generations by people that look like you. Okay?"
True story:
I used to work for Morrison-Knudsen, who at the time was rebuilding subway cars for major municipal areas. One of the ones I worked on was for the NYC metro. I was assigned to redesign the cab area in the R44 cars. In this small cab area was an electrical cabinet. It was made of steel, painted. I was told to specify stainless steel instead. It seems the bottoms of these cabinets were all rusted out, and no one knew why. Speculation was made that there was some sort of current leakage, causing galvanic corrosion. The answer was much simpler, and a bit more gross.
It seems that one of the requirements for the train operators was that they not leave the cab under any but very specific emergency conditions. Union rules and all that. So, in order to relieve themselves, they used empty bottles (eat your heart out, Amazon) and placed them in the bottom of the electrical cabinet. Where upon, they promptly spilled their contents in the panel box, causing rust.
So, as instructed, I specified stainless steel for the boxes. I also decided to add a "cupholder" feature in the bottom corner of the cabinet. To my knowledge, no one has ever questioned that design feature.

Anyone who regularly urinates in a vehicle knows that an empty Gatorade bottle is the best container. They provide a wide opening which can accept a girthy fluid transfer unit, plus sturdy construction and a tight fitting lid allow the contents to remain contained no matter the conditions. Spilling urine in your own cab is simply unsanitary, corrosion concerns notwithstanding. Very rookie.

I cant get past the fact that on the R44 (A/C/E lines), as with most NYC Subway A cars in general, there is a window in the door which separates the drivers cab from the passenger compartment.

In truly jaw-dropping news, Uncle Joe pardons Hunter, and conveniently extends that to cover his time with Burisma.

"Joe Biden said in his statement that he decided to issue the pardon because his son was “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” saying that “Hunter was treated differently” from people who commit similar crimes. The president said his political opponents in Congress “instigated” the charges “to attack me and oppose my election.”
