Your salary is not information relevant to a speed ticket or traffic fine.
Honestly, the reason I brought up the 4th and 5th is because you would either have to tell someone your income, or they'd have to obtain that information in order to make a judgement against you.
Therefore the state would need a warrant to acquire your tax records via warrant to the IRS or CDTFA. Or a judge would have to compel you to be witness against yourself in order for them to levy a large fine against you.
I just dont see that passing constitutional muster. But great news! We pass unconstitutional laws every day, that do not go through any judicial review before they are enacted, then someone finally has to sue over it, make it's way up the state levels of courts, to finally make it to SCOTUS if it hasn't been overturned yet. Taking a good 5-10 years.
That's a good 5-10 years of only giving out speeding tickets to people who drive nicer cars...

It's called alimony & child support, and it has survived more legal challenges than you can shake a Latin dictionary at.

Even NPR has called this out. I heard the story twice on the radio on Monday morning, in which they tallied up the total amount spent by the various billionaires to influence the outcome of that election on both sides.
The Leftists simply don't care. Corporatism, oligarchy, aristocracy... these things are only bad when the Bad Other Party does them. They are necessary and virtuous when the Good Leftist Party does them as a part of the ongoing battle against tyranny and fascism.

It's interesting that you mention this...
Earlier, I was at the John Hancock tower. In the parking garage on the 8th floor, I saw this:
Computer, zoom in and enhance.
Computer, repeat.
I'm not even sure what the **** I'm looking at here.
But it's a good reminder that these beings walk among us, and some of them appear almost human.
More like we don't believe the gov't is here to help us. And I mean that in more than one way.
We don't believe we NEED the governments help in order to have a successful happy life. We can handle that all by ourselves. Just leave **** alone, leave me alone, don't start any wars, don't try to fix the constitution, and if you need any interpretation of the amendments, those who wrote them spelled it out for you.
We also don't believe the gov't is actually trying to help us. The politicians (all of them) are always telling us what they are going to do for us but only end up doing stuff for them. And, too many of their fixes end up needing fixes, etc., so next election cycle they promise to fix what's broken even though they broke it and that's how they become senators for 40 years.
People forget (especially politicians) that elected officials work for the people and the people tell them what to do, not the other way around. When, we the people, lost our way I'm not certain of but we must find that road again.
It feels to me there is a great divide now that's different than before between liberals/conservatives, right/left, dem/rep. It seems as if before the disagreement was ideological. Now it seems like if it's about who you trust. If you trust science, the gov't, and the MSM, well you're one of the good guys: you're a modern liberal. If you don't, then you're a backwoods racist **** because you aren't entitled to your own world view and just another conspiracy theorist. How times have changed.

I for one love paying taxes to do my part in spreading trans propaganda to Iraq.
I also hate tariffs and love our existing policies of encouraging American companies to move all their manufacturing to foreign countries, because of the Sierra Club.
