Zuckerberg is supposed to be changing Facebooks/Meta from algorithms and faceless censors to an X-style "Community Notes" system.

$17.3 million cut from firefighting budget, no brush mitigation, no filling of the emergency reservoir, and the tiny Delta smelt sending billions of gallons per year of water into the ocean instead of sent to SoCal. Terrorists could freeze our dilapidated infrastructure in a day.

Oh wait, who needs terrorists when we have Gavin Newsom?

a story in two videos:

Buckets are misogynist and symbols of the patriarchy. Recall in the 1800s and before, the use of bucket brigades to fight fires. Who was it actually handling those buckets? Men. That's not appropriate anymore. Purses are the way to go now.

Just how bad is the clown show in L.A.? Really, really bad. The deputy mayor is trying to out-Marxist the Marxist mayor.

This fire just reeks of ineptitude at all levels. Marxists. Never send a collectivist to do an executive function job.

I"m sorry Joe, I just can't take you seriously when you post a picture of your monitor with all those duck characters along the bottom.

I'm thinking that the actress speaks for me again...
I'm thinking that the actress speaks for me again. $24 BILLION dollars spent on homelessness in the past four years that can't be accounted for...

No one can account for the broken fire hydrants and empty reservoirs either, and none of these sociopaths will take the blame.

The unfortunate consequence will be that everyone in the US will eventually pay for this. Doesn’t matter if you rent, don’t own a car or do not have insurance. The insurance in CA will go up first and then everywhere else. Hurricanes are not preventable, but fires are. The word on the streets is that some of these fires may have been started by homeless encampments. These wealthy SoCal’s enable these people.

This **** happens every year. Three years ago we had a WILD, WET WINTER. Two years ago we had another one. Even this year was WET in NorCal, but none of it was stored. Now it's been dry for a year and the brush has turned to tinder. Elementary school kids could figure out this issue. This is Gavin Newsom's version of an Afghanistan surrender. It didn't have to happen this way.

What WILL happen--Trump will force California to send Delta smelt water South. I'd be shocked if there isn't a class-action lawsuit against California for not implementing Prop 1 (Bond to build reservoirs) from 2014(!). The ineptitude is criminal.

I also expect A LOT of arson in the next year from people getting ready to be thrown out of the country. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

I wonder if anyone is keeping track of the amount of CO2 being released into the atmosphere by the burning of LA.

THAT CO2 doesn’t count. However, CO2 from “controlled burning” does.
