I'm going to say that was satire and not real. We do know there are crazy people out there that want to vandalize Tesla's, but that was not one of them.

Agreed.

My point is that you can criticize both sides of a corrupt two-party duopoly system.

Just because one politician or party is slightly less harmful overall does not mean that we are required to heap praise upon that politician, turn a blind eye towards their many false promises, etc.

Didn't listen to the podcast but if that quote is the best you were able to take from it, I'm not impressed. It seems like a pseudo-intellectual sardonic thing to say.

Washington is in fact broken and its purpose is to serve the People. The politicians didn't magically will themselves to office, they were voted in by the People, to represent their voices. The fact the politicians use the power to only help themselves doesn't make it cynically humorously correct to say that it's functioning quite well.

This is how Washington "works." And this is what passes for "truth." And yes, it's all so absolutely crazy that it ends up causing arguments.

Had me scared for a minute because I'm going to south FL in 2wks.

The media could not be more dysfunctional. We were better off when communication was much less efficient. Maybe at least on average we were happier.

This is the only thing that will give you non-sensationalized storm prediction. Do not bother with anything else.

They are just doing the jobs Americans can't get hired for because they are filled already don't want.

I believe that is the original intent of the Federal government.

But at this point, that's more of an idealistic dream than an achievable reality.

Labor Unions in the US originally arose to protect workers from abusive and hazardous conditions in the 19th century, but have since been transformed into self-serving entities which primarily preserve the status quo and enrich their own leadership.

The US Government has undergone the same change, at roughly the same timescale, and using the same tactics.

You are correct. They achieved their present status by slowly, gradually, making the people accustomed to giving up their liberty and their money, by presenting them with the illusion that doing so would ultimately benefit them.

The present-day Washington establishment is doing a good job of serving the people who directly control it.

If true, I'm wondering why this didn't come out during Biden...

Didn't we already know Trump had interactions with Epstein. There was even a video clip or some interview about Trump (way before he was God Emperor) where he remarked that Epstein likes them young, real young.

AFAIK, Trump knew about Epstein but later kicked him out of Mar a Lago because he accosted a young female staff member or daughter of a member.

This weekend should produce some gold.
