I'm not sure if we can quantify the BBB based on its initial costing. It does depend on the intent. I'm sure you have heard the term it takes money to make money or at the very least to solve some of the current issues. We are in a fairly poor economy that DJT inherited. Consumer spending has been in decline for a long time. There is a major consumer credit issue that resulted from the covid era. The tariffs will hurt these numbers in certain sectors but help others. There are also quite a few good aspects of this bill that will help many hard-working citizens. The long-term effects will be the true gage of DJT's efforts. The haters are going to hate everything that he does and his successes even more.
Any time you "stand up" for either side of a political argument there will be 10,000 counterarguments. Some of them may actually be valid. To expect a government less than 150 days in to be wholly different than the monolith that was just there a few months ago is pretty ridiculous. That said, DJT has made huge changes, even despite the push-back from the Left and from the Rino Republicans. And the Deep State.
I think on a deeper level he's trying to change the tax dynamic, per the above comment. I could be very wrong, as everyone likes to point out, but it makes sense to me.

Agreed.
Which is one of the reasons why I was already mocking Trump, and everyone who parroted his boisterous claims, a year ago back when he was promising to fix all of America's problems literally "on day one."
Now, the back-peddling and justifications honestly remind me of the sort of logic I hear from my mother and sister when presented with factual evidence which contradicts their belief that the Earth is only 6,000 years old.
I mean, in the movie Idiocracy, when President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho promised the country that Joe was going to singlehandedly fix the agricultural system, the economy, and the climate, he at least gave him an entire week to accomplish all of that in.

Brain smartly showed some of the macro changes to the economy, not only as a direct result of DJT but from the market's understanding of what would happen. Compared to Biden, he's already caused a huge shift. He toots his own horn and says he's done more in 100 days than other presidents have in four years. In Biden's case, he's right.
Never was a god. Since you’re clairvoyant about what his success will be, how about some lottery numbers? Most presidents success is not quantified until they are out of office. Sorry for a dose of logic.

Honestly, I'm still looking at the yuuuge list of things which Trump promised to do "on day one."
And, of course, viewing that in the context of all of the subsequent claims / promises which generate a lot of hype at the time, then quickly fade from memory.
It seems to be his general leadership style, and I can't quite figure out whether his fanbase all have extremely short memories, or just really get off on constantly being lied to.
.
I believe he did accomplish some of his day one promises, let's not forget that it was an election and hype wins races. At least he started working on stopping the wars. What do you think would have been accomplished if harris was elected? What about the previous administration?

It appears to me that you are perceiving my criticism of both Trump and also the adulation which is heaped upon him as indicating that I would prefer to have seen Harris in the White House.
This is not true.
I would rather have seen Chase Oliver in the White House, but I'm a realist.
I just wish that a sufficiently large number of Americans would finally realize that they don't *have* to pick the shiniest of two turds every four years that we could break free of this cycle of Stockholm-syndrome-like behavior.
There are a number of good points in it, but the most important one, I believe, is this:
Despite candidates for office frequently claiming that "Washington is broken," Washington is actually functioning quite well. It's just that we tend to assume that Washington's purpose is to serve the people, and that's false. Washington's purpose is to support the status-quo power duopoly represented by the Democrat and Republican parties.
So, that being the case, I feel that it is not inappropriate to continue mocking Trump by creating more Office Space memes.
Because, again, I'm really making fun of the way that the Trump Apologists rationalize his objectively absurd promises nearly as much as I am making fun of Trump himself.
It doesn't mean that I support Harris. It means that I dislike the Republican party *almost* as much as I dislike the Democrat party.
My point is that Trump may very well be what we need, not just the best option. Sometimes hammers don't appear to be the most ideal tool for the job when in actuality they are.

Our best option won't come from a pool of politicians, as they're already compromised. That said, DJT did what Democrats said couldn't be done--closed the border in less than a month. Fentanyl is WAY down. That will equate to perhaps tens of thousands of lives saved. Gas miraculously dropped in price, everywhere but California. Gavin Newsom is singlehandedly trying to sink this state. They're arguing in Sacramento about what will happen when TWO refineries close later this year due to over-regulation. Gee, what do you THINK will happen?
So in a period of less than 2 months, individuals openly claiming to be motivated by the “free Palestine” movement have:
- Tried to burn down the home of the Jewish Pennsylvania Governor with his family inside.
- Executed a couple leaving a Jewish museum in DC
- Thrown Molotov cocktails at elderly Jewish people advocating to free hostages in Colorado.
The intifada is already here. The people who tried to downplay this threat should be ashamed.
