SNAP is government-funded electioneering for the Democratic party. It's amazing to think that illegals get/got more money in the first month from SNAP, Section 8, Medicare etceteras than American retirees get in Social Security.

I would be genuinely frightened by a hungry, angry, fat, woman of color pushing a cart full of groceries and children with the specific intent of stealing. I mean the kinetic energy of the whole thing is frightening. I wouldn't stand a chance if I tried to stop her.
If a Walmart manager hired two off duty uniformed deputies to stand at each of the front doors for a couple of afternoons and evenings, you wouldn't have any problems at all. You wouldn't need the police in the mornings because hoodlums don't get up in the morning. And the first time one of those big bitches gets body slammed the rest of those carts will turn around and go back into the store and pretend to keep shopping. And if the crowd started getting a little much for the officers that were there, they could call for backup and just start handcuffing people to shopping carts until reinforcements arrive.

Yeah, prior to the last-minute decision to restore the status quo, which definitely wasn't the obvious end-state right from the beginning of this specific act of political theater, it was interesting to speculate about.
Today's state and local elections are going to wind up skewing heavily blue.
Mamdani is going to be partially stymied in implementing his vision of a socialist utopia in NYC, but will accomplish some aspects of it. Those will wind up being a disaster, but the far-left will respond with a combination of deflecting, claiming that failure it is actually success, and blaming others (Trump, the courts, etc) for interfering.
Republicans are not going to retain majority control of both houses of congress in 2026.
