Some ******* went through and negged a bunch of comments that hurt his feelings but that he couldn't figure out how to refute. I got a couple too.

I have a HS education, 12 credits at a community college that I dropped out of, and made about $900 last week (post taxes) at my new job...... come at me America.

Min. wage doesn't need changing, it's an issue of expected quality of life. Hell, not having a TV in your bedroom and your living room is considered "poverty" to some.

Learn a trade, never have an issue. No education in my field whatsoever..... still kicking the asses of my "educated" coworkers.... how's that possible?

I'm a mechanic. $10 an hour, plus overtime (15-20 hours of that a week), or 15% of total parts and labor, whichever is higher. I'm basically on a retainer to work there (my hourly is about $450 after taxes), and then work a modified flat-rate, where I get a % of parts and labor.

As I get more ASE certs (mostly BS, IMO), I'll eventually get to 20% of everything I do. Last week was pretty good, but I average around $600 a week after taxes. If I didn't have to babysit some of the morons there, I could turn a lot more. My goal is to have a $10k week, my work only. Which until myself and my boss joined about two months ago, was a great week for the total shop.

I love when newbies ask "what tech school did you go to?", and I say "none, self taught". Mouths drop, and wallets cry as they remember the 30k they spend at rose-dale, while still not being able to pull an axle.

EDIT: What's your degree in? I don't care much for those who have a piece of paper as their credentials, but y'all can't all be bad.

Actually, it was in part me, Mgeof, although I can't say I am the only source or even quite probably even a majority source of props in this thread.

Some ******* went and negged down almost all of Vitamin J's and Bbundy's posts in this thread. No bitching.

I sit down, go through the entire thread, reading all of the posts, and gave out props - both positive AND negative to you, Mgeofriau, not just negative as an example - based on the quality of the post, or didn't give them out at all if it didn't merit any.

Now, I can't say I was the only one who went through this thread, and I most definitely gave out both positive and negative props. But I find it funny that people suddenly start bitching when someone goes through and actually bothers to read posts, then gives out props (Positive AND negative) appropriate to the post when it's from a certain group, but not a damned word when someone goes through and negs almost all the posts from another group.

Props on this site is kinda silly, but either way the political opinion of one shouldn't have any effect on them.

It should be for helping around the forum, bringing good ideas to the table, adding cool parts to your car, doing good honest hard work. ect.

Hey, isn't that what this thread is about. ^
nevermind i guess

I fixed it for reals.

It was a self-proclaimed libertarian who has not entered the discussion, but gave all leftist/statist opinions +1 and all free-market opinions -1.

and he's also cried about his neg props on more than one occasion.

funny.

for the record, bbundy has -3 props from this thread by 2 different people. vitamin j has -8 from 4 different people. But good thing blaen99 is here to equal it out by giving over 30 negative props in this thread.
