Hey, I like that stuff though. Besides the hitting stuff part.

I've actually been trying to contemplate what I actually want to do with the car.

is it moving where the snap ring is or where the bolt hold the cover to the back?

cause if the former, then that's relatively normal. if the former. then tighten the bolts

It's at the snap ring. It seems I can't get a currently sized PVC cap too leak test. So I'm going to get just a plug and a 4" coupler and try that. :/

I took aparty BOV today because it was EASY to push it open. It had a bad oring at the fitting I replaced and and I made the fitting fo as far as it would go (max setting?)
I dunno about these GFB bov's. But it seems to have effected a little. May be too tight though, on light accel then let off I get the flutter now. Oh wells

Poop, I was hoping the AC lines would be somewhat similar with the '99 and '04 compressors. Wrong. I'll have to fab some up to get it to work.
I went and looked at the lines the '99 lines the low side hardline bend would cover the '04 high side port.

Are you sure that's a BP compressor?
I've never seen one like that, and we have a ton of NB2's here. All of them look the same or similar to the one on the left.

Hmm, maybe. I'll have to take a peek at one of the msm's we have.

if that's the case, that sucker looks a whole lot smaller (and I'm guessing its prob lighter too), might be a cool mod for us NB2 people.

If you need an 01 compressor, I haz one for sale btw. same size/style as the left one

Yeah! It's a whole lot lighter, it's awesome! The mounting points are different ever so slightly though. I mean I could just acquire the 99 mount. Since the block should be the same I think the difference is the mount bracket.

I wanted to get around to attaching the EBC and boost leak test things but..
Florida struck again.

Yeah here's some insight on the compressors.
Only 04-05, used the smaller one along with Rx8, it's also cheaper.

But my A/C suction and discharge hoses are for only 99-00.

No problem man! Do you have custom lines to make it work though?
If I can get a scale I'll weigh them to show the difference.

the MSM lines that come with it wouldn't bolt up to the rest of the system?

I don't have the MSM lines :( The chassis lines are 99, I don't think they will work, the hard line of the fittings angle weird since the new compressor moves the ports pretty close to each other.
I should give it a try though.

Well yeah, I didn't have one before but now I do. I still think wastegate is the culprit. :/

he's getting movement at the c-clamp, which actually holds that backing plate in place. not the housing iirc
