That is either for an old 5-cyl BMW, one side of a Viper, or a funky idea for an EWG pipe.

the burns collectors are deininitely nice but with a pricetag of $300 and up, I'd rather spend a week replicating one. that's for 16ga material, too. IIRC they don't deal with sch10/40.
heres my contributon to collector making. cut four equal lenght sections out of straight pipe. 4" lenghts are regularly used, but 3" and 5" are common too. the longer the better the flow, but the harder the manifold design for packaging reasons. find an angle that works for the lenght of pipe (between 10-20 degrees). you want to end up with around 1/4 of the original circumference on the end of each pipe after making both cuts to make a 4-1 collector with the discharge circumference equal to a single uncut pipe. hope that makes sense. the first cut is easy. for the second cut, you need to find a way to turn the pipe 90 degrees on its axis, and make the second cut. this is cruicial as the fitment depends on it. one degree will create a gap. all four cut and ready to be cleaned and weld: Attachment 204461 |

We have a Mazak FabriGear (6-axis laser tube cutter) at work. I was actually thinking of cutting some intake and exhaust bits on it (if I ever actually ended up getting a turbo, that is).
Does the inside get welded, also? If so, I can put in a back-bevel to create a weld gap on all the acute-angle joins. |

yeah, bandsaw. they can be cut on a chop saw too, but it takes more trial and error due to the blades deflection.
bone you have pm |
Wouldn't worry too much about it, Tim ;) Actually it may not even be able to do such acute cuts, depending on angle and wall thickness (shows you how much thought I've really given it).
Sprayed, got your pm. |

There are no words to describe this manifold. It looks pretty and well-designed, but close up... good god.
Attachment 204438 Attachment 204439 Attachment 204440 The wastegate tube is less a mode of exhaust gas transportation, and more a piece of art: Attachment 204441 The downpipe is straighter than the photos show. Attachment 204442 You can see all the way through to the final straight section from the mouth: Attachment 204443 I'm going to cry. |

what a fucking piece of shit! I wouldn't even feed my faggy little dog a quart of yogurt and let her shit on that.
sent my check in today, should have done that 7-weeks ago |
Wow, that is truly a work of art:eek5:

Thanks Andrew and Tim, now my girlfriend is fucking pissed. Mostly because she doesn't understand why I was completely distracted from what she was saying to me while speaking out loud about how I'm ready to jizz in my pants over an inanimate SS turbo setup.
(women will never understand) |
Cant wait to build my first manifold. Got the stainless OTW
