Its going to just have one drop in the center for now. I've heard you can get some 3/4 hydraulic line and run that as a flexline. What is the troof to that.

 

It also helps if you use good old fashioned leaded solder.

 

Iron water pipe. They'll thread the ends at home depot if you have measurements. It's what we do in factories.

For most of the runs you can use stock lengths if you plan. Cap the end.

 

Solder definitely needs lead. **** ROHS

 

Also use good flux, it seems to make a huge difference. I've always had good luck with Nokorode



but I'm sure there are other good ones out there as well.

Iron or copper? Price difference?

 

I'm going crazy. Does anyone else remember a part out thread in which the seller revealed he'd had a quite serious accident and it turned into a discussion about Miata safety? There were many posts about seatbelts and airbags and rollbars and such and at some point I believe those posts were split off into a separate thread.

For the life of me I cannot find any trace of it. Not the sale thread, nor the safety discussion thread. I can remember participating in the discussion and even when I go back through my own posts I can't find it.

 

Iron is a PITA, cutting and threading all the pipes. I would do copper.

A ten foot stick of 3/4 M type copper is ~$20, 3/4 iron is around $10-15. I'd say double is about right, but it's easier to DIY and probably not all that much more for a short run.

You shouldn't use the cheaper thin M type for air, but if it does burst it won't send shrapnel out to kill you.

 

You're not crazy. I remember posting in them too and I can't find a trace of either of them. Not by keyword searching or by just brute force wading back through 1-1/2 years worth of posts. It was within that time frame, wasn't it?

You can buy premade sticks of iron pipe with threaded ends. Buy couplers and piece together exactly the length you need.
