RX7 460cc or 550cc injectors will be cheaper and easy to find if money is tight. 460's will get you more than double the stock hp.

Ill keep an eye on the classifieds here. My ultimate goal is to run 12-13 psi on stock internals. Ive relad that both the turbo and internals can handle that well. Will 460s do that?

My 460's get me 10psi on a 2870 turbo without limiting out. I'd say you'll be right there with that smaller turbo at 12-13psi.

i read somewhere that after 13 psi the turbo is out of its efficiency range.. id be happy with 12 psi.. what figures do you see with 10 psi?

ill keep an eye out for injectors in the coming weeks..

depends on the amount of torque and clyinder pressure that creates; the rods are the weak link.

Squirrel Performance
I found this tool useful for comparing turbo performance.

I have a question with regards to the rev limiter.. when i hit the rev limiter it completely kills the power, which for a track day is useless as it cuts my power for about a second? what settings do i change so its more of a bounce than a power cut

Mine bucks slightly when you get hard against the limiter but it doesn't unsettle the car.

My settings are
Rev Limiter
Soft rev limit : 7000
Soft limit absolute timing: 10
Soft limit timemax: 5.0 sec
Hard Rev Limit: 7100

[The soft rev limit retards the timing in an attempt to slow the acceleration of the engine and reduce its power.]

Rev Limiter Type
Hard cut/limiter type
Base Number to Cut Sparks From(sparks): 5
Rev Limiter
Hard Cut type: FUEL ONLY
Cut 'n' number out of base sparks:3

[The base number is the number of sparks that can be cut from. This value will depend on the number of cylinders. Then select how many sparks (or injection pulses, I assume) to cut in each mode.

change the cuts from and the base number to increase the speed of the rev limiter. Off the top of my head I cant think of what's better...if 1 out of 4 would be better than say 15 out of 16.

Cheers man ill set that up and see what difference it makes.. i bought 460cc injectors but they seem to be missing in the post so i imagine they'll be returned to sender. in the meantime i may get some 1.8L injectors so i can run a little boost.. is there any sense in doing that? it's going to take a good few weeks to get my hands on the 460s

So this is cutting 3 sparks out of 5?
