I've never blown up anything on my car including my old motor. GT30 is doing fine and well.

I will be putting up my whole hotside for sale once the new turbo is in the car. That will include GT3071R with ceramic coated turbine housing, S5 cast ceramic coated manifold, purple tial 38mm wastegate, 3" stainless steel downpipe, and intercooler hotside piping. Will also be selling my enthuza 3" stainless dual exit exhaust with both a "test pipe" and a 3" high flow cat.

Tire pressure might help... I ran the MT's at 35psi for around town driving.

I'm slowly getting used to the tires.

Today I raced a 997 Turbo S. Apparently it's been modified a bunch but has stock turbos.

It walked away from me

I'd estimate my car is at around 360hp@2400lbs now with the timing and boost turned down a bit so that makes sense.

Still,

It looks like big turbo fun time won't realistically happen until June. Until then, I am still having fun. I did however check with the DMV, and unfortunately, the license plate "NVRENUF" is already taken.

lol, it must suck to expect to beat one. It sucks to lose, and it's even worse when you're driving the gayata.

In for more power adders.

You know how you get around a license plate being taken? Get a specialty vanity plate. My plate is 'fast' which I now wish was something else, it was taken in regular plates but military plates it wasn't taken so I took it.

I am not sure what manifold design to get.

Short runner absurdflow type?
Short ramhorn?
Long ramhorn?
Looooonnng front mount / top mount esque style

Per psi of boost, I am willing to give up peak power for faster spool. I will have the quick spool valve but still, the faster the spool, the better.

My thoughts are that assuming it fits, Tim's short ramhorn (Shuiend's manifold) would be the best compromise. Plus, it's equal length.

Opinions?

That only helps between shifts.

BTW to help spool in addition to the QSV I am also planning on spraying as much methanol as I can while in boost starting at 1psi which should help a bunch with spool.

Actually, you can use it to increase turbo RPM at idle, you just have a very unpleasant (or annoying after a while) idle sound

Borgwarners overall are usually happiest at higher pressure levels. Compared to others they usually spool either same or slower. Since your primary goal with the car is straight line speed I don't know why you care so much about spool anyway.

If you REALLy wanna be badass throw some nitrous on that bitch and move the powerband left 500-800rpm.

I think spraying a boatload of water into the compressor is a BAD idea. You're going to basically drench that **** and possibly break/sieze something. A small amount sure, but starting at 1psi? ehhhh

I car about spool because I just want to pull out all the tricks and optimize my setup.

If I do go through with the compressor injection, it will only be with one small nozzle. I still have the four large nozzles in the intake plenum.

It's big... 8" diameter compressor, 10" inlet to outlet. It also probably weighs around 40 pounds or something ridiculous.

T4 divided vs. T3 flange.

Seller fucked up and did not send me a polished housing so I'm gonna have to ship the housing back. It's ok because I still need a manifold.

My guess is power is going to be peaky. The more area under the curve the better, IMO you are going to have less area under the curve than you currently have.
