I'm more interested in the overall end goal right now and the plans you have to get there. At the moment for me, it's more interesting to see the logic a person uses to reach their end goal and the bs they go through to get there than anything else.

Overall goal is a shitload of power, enough to crush most all challengers on the street and spin tires in 6th gear. Current power level feels pretty fast but it does not feel faster than god. Yet. Final power should be limited by as much boost as I can safely run every day on 93 octane with meth.

Oh and goal is also happy fun track and autoxing hence the BBK and eventual XIDAs. And getting groceries...

Dang dude that sounds like a ton of meth.. ever heard of anyone blowing off all that meth/air mix and getting an explosion under the hood? Id think running a BOV dump tube out of the engine bay might be a good idea. I know nothing about meth but this is just me speculating.

Hmm You do have a good point considering the entire intake tract would be filled with meth when under boost :P

I'm not sure if a BOV "dump tube" would be possible with the Tial design. Any recommendations for a killer BOV that I could weld a pipe onto?

you want flow, not bling or noise.

Greddy Type R (not S, not RS, not anything else)

you can get 2" ID flanges somewhere I'm sure. It might also come with them, I forget. It comes with hose. I think Greddy sells a 42mm ID flange adapter. Don't settle for that 1.5" nonsense or smaller.

Tial QR.

From Tial's website:
QR Blow Off Valve
A More Compact Recirculating BOV

Available now in silver and black, this Q based BOV comes in two different sizes, a 1.0" outlet common for most cars with a Bosch style bov, and a 1.34" outlet for Evo/DSM. Users can also switch this unit to a Q atmospheric bov by simply purchasing the bottom half of the Q BOV, all other parts are the same!

Spring pressures are the same for the QR and Q, so you will use the Q BOV spring pressure chart to make your selection.

Outlet port size must be specified at time of order.
Or the older Alpha Q:

Alpha Q Recirculating Blow-Off-Valve
High Flow and a Happy MAF Sensor

New for 2008 is the first ever recirculating blow-off-valve offered by TiAL. This unique 50mm BOV flows 6% more than the current vent-to-atmosphere BOV we offer, bolts on to any standard TiAL 50mm flange (slip-fit beaded ends will also be available so you can run it in-line with couplers). It will be available in all current colors we offer. Check back for more information to be released.

Hmm. Y8s want to trade BOVs?

I think recirc would be best but but but but but then I wouldn't have a big poosh on shift :( For me that's one of the joys of turbo.

Regarding power, I'd like to see how much power this turbo can put down at 25psi. If 25psi doesn't put down over 500hp, something is wrong.

Plan to get there:

Borg S300SX3 66inducer/80exducer, .91 A/R turbine housing
T4 ARTech ramhorn low mount
3.5 downpipe into 4" exhaust
Dual Bosch 044 fuel pumps
100% meth injection with six nozzles- 4 direct port, one post-IC, one pre-turbo
quick spool valve
biggest cams I can find for my VVT motor.

For now I'm going to keep the gutted intake, 2.5" IC piping, smallish begi "#3" IC.
Are you planning parallel fuel lines to a y connector at the fuel rail? The 044 has some size to it, where are you going to place them in the car? Also, the out of tank pumps don't like to pull at all...read gravity feed.

no i dont.

recirc isn't necessary if you're using speed-density.

and if you are building a turbo car for the woosh, I'm going to delete this thread.

More manifold!

I asked Abe to package it up as it is and ship it to me. I will just plug up cyl 4 and be good to go.

Interested in dyno numbers on this slu.

The manifold looks good... similar to the one i am building now... but my turbo flange is between 3 and 4...

I tried to keep it centered but huge turbo + QSV made it impossible. The turbine housing wouldn't clear the steering shaft.

I am pretty sure Min can fix the steering shaft issue with a sawzall.

Looking great.

Talking to Fae earlier, I think we agreed this might be the largest turbo ever put on a miata. CEO barely squeezed his T04Z in there, but this will be a even bigger challenge.

EDIT: s366 turbine vs GT35 turbine

S366 vs. GT32

Oh, im not speaking the manifold down... if you arent running PS or AC, thats a completely acceptable place for it.

If it were my personal car, i would have top mounted it for the bling factor of that MASSIVE polished turbine housing...

watching this build a carefully, but I am predicting, very peaky power delivery, that will not be driver friendly. Just my prediction, not bashing.
