So given the possible latest failure of the car, I vote for a new liscense plate, "noneofit"...

I do not think it was detonation from "regular" boosting but i will have to look at the pistons. I always logged and did see det but i always adjusted my timing right away. AFRs were always good but pump gas has its limits. I did have to drop down timing quite a bit from my 3071 map which makes sense because it flowed much much less air per psi.

After i leakdown i will rebuild and dyno on day one. I knew this day was coming but i am a little sad still. The motor still makes good power though so maybe I will dyno before I take it apart...

Read my build thread

Motor had a horrible first hour or two of life. Ran it on old gas for a while which ran absolutely horrible. Then had some issues with the timing plate rattling which made me think rod knock so i didnt boost it. Then fonally at like mile 200 i did 10psi of boost and lots of vaccuum. Motor only had 160 or so comprwssion from day one.

Go fu yourself. I have a lot of tech and reaearch in this build and breakage was always an acknowledged and calculated risk. Show me five other miatas running gt40 sized turbos. I only can think of six other miatas making over 500 horse.

Honesty just messing with ya. Hats off for pushing the boundries, as I have yet to have the option of doing so.

Again, just a small joke, no harm intended

Hell, I may paypal ya $10 for your choice of a shot. Lord knows I've learned quite a bit from this thread that otherwise, would've never known.

Its only a set of rings I would think with the boost you are running if you burned a piston it would be right off the bat. I would see if anyone makes a set of total seal rings and possibly look into getting your pistons drilled to help wedge the top ring then you can run even more boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

could be worse, could have made a nice hole or two in the block. Just rub your dick all over the piston bores and should be right as rain. :3

Buddy, until you put it on a dyno, any power claims you make are just that, claims. It is time to put up or shut up, put it on the dyno, until then, stop making hp claims. I have never bought into the whole thought process of well with this much boost, this much fuel, and this much spark I should be making X amount of power...Time for me to call bullshit...I love your build but it is time to put your money where your mouth is. There is not one decent dyno pull and no video to back your claims. So get some fuzz on your peaches and step up.

But its so much easier to say you make 600whp instead of actually making it

8% difference between high and low isn't horrible.

I have a feeling your slash cuts are actually presurizing the crankcase.

I mean, there's probably some performance gain to having them subjected to vacuum...but probably loss if subject to pressure...

or hell, it's possible that you're burnin goil at idle because they are just pulling tons of oil straight out, that VC doesn't have the greastest baffeling to start.

What happens if you just disconnect them?

There must be a way to test this. What if you remove the lines from the slash cuts and hook them to some sort of vacuum pump? Or simply have some type of gauge to read vacuum or pressure created by the crank evac system?
