Unfortunately I am thinking about selling the block/head. I really cant see myself using it considering I will probably only be able to keep this Miata for another year or so. Might as well get a couple bucks for it now and free up some space in my garage. I will just throw the setup on the 1.6 for a year, enjoy it, and then part it out when the time comes.
Sucks it will probably happen that way because I put too much time and money into this car/ set-up and it will kill me to get rid of it... Just wont be able to do it when my wife and I start our family.. I will need a fun DD (Focus ST?!?) and I wont be able to afford that without getting rid of the Miata.
+1
I wanted to sell and buy a 135i, but instead I bought a 120d and kept the MX-5. Good economy in the diesel, I can throw my bike in the back (it's a hatch) and it is still great fun to drive. I can go ***** out with hackery on the MX-5 now too!
Reconsider selling it, otherwise I think you will miss it too much and end up with another one down the track anyway.
Cheers

There are 2 kinds of miata owners...
Those that mave a miata and always will
And those that have sold their miata...and always lust for another.
+1 on the 135i! My used daily is an 07 335i 6MT. Loads of fun for ~$18k

Thanks appreciate it! Hoping for some good results when I get around to bolting everything in! I'm going to have to take a week off work to give myself some time to get it sorted and not worry about needing a car to get to/from work
Congrats on installing the roll bar. After installing my first roll bar, I said I wouldn't do it again. Then I upgraded to a thick roll bar like yours this past weekend and I still haven't finished because of several minor modifications... the bar is mounted on, but I haven't put anything back together yet. Mine doesn't have the seat belt guide brackets and I had cut my stock guides off in order to use the bossfrog adapters to use on my previous roll bar...

Waiting on the adjuster to get here (Hopefully tomorrow!) Fingers crossed that it's not totaled to I can take a check, fix it and move on!

Impulse buy of the week...
Pop-Out Vent Windows [001-AA-POP] - $29.95 : Advanced Autosports, Miata Race Parts, Spec Miata and TRANS AM Race Car Sales, Service, Build & Rentals Support in Midwest
I think it's a good buy for $65 shipped though! Should give me some good airflow

Collected a check and my dad and I are going to fix it. He was a body guy at a shop for 30 years so I trust him more than taking it somewhere... Plus I can keep a couple bucks in my pocket fixing it myself haha

Have a couple Miata guys coming to help me get the turbo set-up in on 8/3! Excited and a bit nervous! Being that this is my DD I am worried about breaking anything... I don't plan on driving it all-out until I either get a torsen, or a 2nd vehicle.
Any tips for the install?

Getting the seatbelt bolts to line up is the biggest issue. Going to have another go at it next Sunday. At least I had it in place and test fitted lol
