I ended up not using his front config, but adapted it to the back.

Are you going to put a fire sleeve on that turbo oil return line? I got a custom -10an stainless braided line made at ATPturbo.com for $45. You just tell them the length, and the size of the fitting. Pretty easy.
Also the line going to the side of the engine may interfere with the alternator, so just be careful with that.
Looks good man. Just be patient and don't cut corners and you'll be happy with the end result. I know EXACTLY how you feel about just wanting to drive it. I was so sick of working on the car at the end of my build.

I thought about calling it quits when the 1.6 died but now that I'm so deep into this 1.8 there is no way I'm looking back lol

Anyone have a 1.8 alternator and/or mounting bracket/ adjusting hardware that they would be willing to let go for dirt cheap? I am missing everything for the alternator & mounting brackets/ hardware and I really dont want to pay too much money for that right now. I can't use my 1.6 alternator because I had SNC

So I found a 1.8 alternator that I can get for a great price from a member on here....
Is there anything else I should grab before paypaling him for that? Can I use the heater core hard line from my 1.6 (The one that runs under the exhaust manifold?)

I think the spacing is slightly different on the 1.6 where it mounts to header and the mixing manifold.
You will need to drill out your ring terminals or replace them to adapt to the 1.8 alt
I ended up cutting mine and joining/extending it with some silicone hose because I was adapting an MSM mix-mani

I should be able to modify it a little to make it work.. We shall see
The 1.8 alternator I had lined up fell through Gotta find another one somewhere now... And yeah I read on FM's 1.8 swap hints that the ring terminal needed to be slightly enlarged.
Looking ahead a little further... I think I have to pick up a 90deg silicone reducer...
Reducer Elbow
This isn't gonna work..... And I can't clock the turbo differently because the rod holding the wastegate shut cant really twist that much. The turbo needs to remain mounted the way it is
Oh and representing MT.Net on my daily lol

Thanks me too!
Oh yeah.... Got very lucky... I picked the box up in front of my house and the cam gear ninja tool literally fell out of the box! I can't believe it actually stayed in the whole time but managed to fall out as soon as I picked it up!
I'll make sure to put it in a ziplock bag when I send it back just in case lol
