FM hot side intercooler hose ordered, along with the 1.6 throttle cable adapter... It was only $13 so I figured eff it....

Last thing I believe I need (I hope) is the coolant mixing manifold... No idea where im going to get that from.

I feel like I've hit my breaking point today as far as dumping $$ into this thing... I have said over and over "One more part, one more part" .... Blah I just want to get it running and drive it into my garage and let it sit for the winter so I can re-coop some $$ and get back to it in the spring!

Had the manifold and turbo off yesterday...

Applied lock-tite supplied with Artech's stud set onto the studs and tightened down the nuts.
Put on a new exhaust mani gasket.
Somehow misplaced 2 exhaust mani nuts so I will have to run to a hardware store some some generic replacements.
Today I put the mani/turbo back on and bent up a different bracket for the wastegate rod... Looks like this one should work.
Also cut out some sheet metal for space for the FM intercooler hose.
Clocked the turbo
Mounted EBC and ran some vacuum lines to the wastegate(Not shown here)

I think thats all I did today...

Off to Vegas for a few days for a business trip... Back at it when I return Lol

Looks great! Yeah, those little finishing things. Need one little piece that could have been ordered before if you had realized you would need it, but now have to pay more for shipping than for the part.

Glad you got it clocked.

Yeah the little things really start to nickel and dime you. I spent probably $50 in hardware and misc little odds and ends and 1/2 of the stuff I bought I never used since I ended up changing designs or ideas about what I was doing lol

Man I wish my money amount on money wasted was that small. I don't want to think about the amount of stuff I bought and didn't use.

Oh as far as actual unused parts go... Yeah let's not go there. I'm ~$50 in hardware and random small bits in the last month alone lol

Yeah. The local parts store has many of my dollars in paint, rubber grommets, vacuum and fuel lines, and bolts. I think I went through 5+ gallons of purple power easy by the end of it.

Once you get everything finished and get to go for your first drive the smile on your face will be so big you will forget all about the money...

Didn't gamble much but left with what I came so I'd call that a success lol. Getting ready to board my plane back to Philly now.

Got shipping notifications for both the FM intercooler hose as well as a heater hard-line I found used. Just need a couple exhaust manifold nuts now! Anyone have a few lying around???

That'll work thanks! I don't think I need anything else... If I think of something today I'll let you know lol... Hope to get it fired up this weekend even if the manifold leaks for initial start up lol

Buuutttttt fml again... every time I think I'm good I find another obstacle. This one is my own fault for completely over-looking. Hopefully I can figure out an easy/ dirt-cheap solution

I didn't realize the Coil's were not a direct pnp swap over. I tried to rig my 1.6 coils onto the 1.8 bracket but there is a clearance issue. I know what you are thinking.... Yes COP's are on my "to-do" list but its not happening this year. COP/ Catch can are my #1 and #2 items to pick up in the spring. For now I am going to find a way around this obstacle and make it drivable.

So i'm thinking about stacking washers (Or finding some kind of larger spacer's to use) to push the coils/bracket further away from the valve cover. I would also need longer bolts but I can bring one of the stockers to the local hardware store and have them match me up with some longer ones.

In other news, I think I have all of my vacuum lines routed properly.

Tempting... What would I have to do to install them? Is there a lot of hard-wiring involved?

Wiring is pretty simple especially if running batch. The harness is already made but I hardwired it to my wiring as opposed to using it with the ignitor.

Connect power, ground on head, connect two trigger wires for batch and connect signal wire for tach (all this from the ignitor plug wires)
