The test plan for today is:
Pull oil filter and crank car and see if oil comes out there.
If success install shopvac and filter device and suck oil till I build pressure.
If that fails drink heavily. Then pull motor to take back to machine shop and disassemble and see what is blocking something.
Damn...That's no good. Starting to suspect your pick up tube. But you said you opened the little screw on teh pump and it gushed out? What are the chances that what gushed out was the oil you poured into it earlier and not oil its drawing from the pan?

This is what the oil port on the passenger side looked like before I cranked.

This is what it looked like after cranking briefly.
If the pickup tube is leaky then the pump will suck air and not oil, and air would have come out the little screw hole when he turned the motor, and not oil.
If oil comes out some hole A but not some other hole B, then there is blockage between A and B.
Lars, have you tried if oil come out the feed for the oil filter? IOW remove the oil filter, crank, see if oil shoots out.

Doesn't make sense to me.

Good - concentrate the mind numbing frustration elsewhere or you'll pull a Fae.

So right now I have some work that I could be doing, but really I am twiddling my thumbs and posting on mt.net.

I will cry. I am using a brand new OEM filter, so it should not be clogged.
