sheeeeit I bet you could find a used one a year old for under 20k if you were to look. sure it's not going to be awd turbo but that just means it's on the same level as a mada 2.

Yes I went out yesterday for a test drive at the local dealership. Felt like a miata hatch. Slightly quicker then my 92 dd.
I have no desire to buy another used car. I want something that for the next 5 years I do not have to even think about touching anything in the engine bay.
Plus I am betting long term maintenance on a mini will be much higher then the mazda 2.

This is partly why I wouldn't ever have an older miata daily. Yes the cost in the long run is MUCH cheaper, but my Lancer has needed nothing but oil changes and tires in the last 5 years. It's even on 100% original light bulbs everywhere. Legit, I know.
I bought a paper filter once, then upgraded to a K&N. it paid for itself in less than a year since i lived on a gravel driveway, dust got everywhere.
