I just spoke to Travis at Boundary Engineering about his oil pumps. I then placed an order for this. The plan is to pull the motor this weekend. Then replace oil pump during the week when it gets in. Then drop in the motor the following weekend.

You said you checked the connector, but did you test the sender itself?

I unhooked both the AN line that feeds my vvt solenoid and the line that feeds my turbo and cranked the car for a while. Nothing came out of either line. So something has to have killed the oil pump. Once I have things have apart I will post what caused the problem.

Stuck relief valve?
Didn't you have BE gears in there?

It could be a stuck relief valve. I tapped that general area a few times with a hammer to see if it would unstick and it did not. Yes I am running the original BE gears from the first group buy.

This is kinda backyard, but what about back feeding some air pressure into the feed line to see if you can unstick the spring? Worth a shot before tearing it down.

Since you were running a non-VVT pump on a VVT head, I'm interested to see how much better your oil pressure becomes with the new pump.

Plz report.

The last time my engine was out was August 2010. Then May 2010 before then. So that is two in a single year spread. What are you currently at?

BE gears are ordered and will hopefully ship by Friday. My new ACL race bearings shipped from TSE today. Tomorrow I will order all the random gaskets I will need from Finishline. I will most likely pull the motor Sunday morning. Saturday will be spent unhooking everything.

That's one of the first things to get ruined when you loose oil pressure. That, cam bores, cam lobes, and piston bores.

Edit: Did you loose oil pressure, or is it just extremely low?
