They do grab some, but they aren't designed to snag the openings in the valve cover like normal plug wires. They are more setup to just seal the opening and be bolted down.

This is what I'm waiting for.

That and deciding whether to go PnP or DIY.

I had that project lined up for tomorrow (helped a friend move today, I was elected to hook up the new appliances). However on the way home after helping said friend move, my car started running like **** and I heard a "Pop". It was a ******* intercooler coupler--One of the fancy silicone ones. For the record, I've never had a problem with any of the rubber radiator hose couplers. It's always the ******* silicone couplers that blow off. (second time ever).

So tomorrow I have to fix the coupler issue, and then take SWMBO out for her birthday with her family.
Never any time to do the fun stuff.

Well after frying a COP messing with ms2 spark mods (instead of dwelling 2.5ms it was dwelling the rest of the time and off for 2.5ms :( ) I should have my new set in on monday I am hoping. I have an MS1 ready to plug into it and swapping in the new COPs will take all of 5 seconds.

I'm pretty sure though that split told me on AIM today that the car was running fine on the COPs, his biggest issue I believe was the tach problem.

I can get 2 more sets right now. Let me know ahead of time before you send payment.
If you have a megasquirt... Splitime is having tach issues with it. He's looking into it now and if I can get a chance to hook up with him I'll try to help figure out what the issue is.

'97 = no tach from coils. It won't bother me in the least.

How much are you charging per set shipped? I don't feel like digging back through a dozen pages.

New question: Has anyone tried to check their timing with these coils? I'm worried that my inductive timing light may not pick up the current in the trigger lines.

Lazzer, you did the install on a 1.8l engine, the type without an external ignitor, correct?

I guess I'll tap into the coil wires and leave the OEM connectors intact since it doesn't appear that a plug is available for the 94-97 coil connector.

I'll take a set too if you can get more than 2, or both sets aren't spoken for.

Y8s,
So you're gonna run this on your '01 w/Hydra?

Anyone going to answer my timing light question? This seems rather important...

take your old #4 plug wire, stick in the bottom of your new coil, then into the plug....take your reading off that.
