diy "turbo no hit block" '00 BP miata
Holy cracked block, ouch.
My vote goes for using the crank that comes with the donor short block you will be buying, being that everything from that motor is pretty useless (coffee table maybe?) and it will be nice to have the crank that is original to the block/rods.

Even the bearings are to be take std

two minutes ago I ordered:
8.6:1 supertechs +1mm overbore (with rings)
hondata heatshield intake gasket (will it really increase hp??)
supertech valve seals
acl race main + rods bearings
acl thrust washers
now I can build bottom end
well, all that knock was definitely legitimate, not false
and I must say, my hat is off to you sir for a very creative destruction of that BP
that is some serious carnage. I dont think I've seen a main bearing galley cracked through like that

well, I ordered pistons from frsport.com the 23 jan... currently out of stock
The clutch is arrived today:

stage 2 pressure plate, stage 3 disc
even the stiffer engine mounts are arrived.. even the engine gaskets, water pump, seals, head gasket, valve seals.....
but the pistons and bearings are not even on the way
I HAVE to wait and stay calm, I don't need anything else, I have to stop buying other parts

First I thought that it was from a '94 because it has the cas and a secondary water temp sensor next to the rear cover
When I tried to fit both intake and exhaust manifolds I noticed that are bolt-on
I don't know which particular version of mx5 comes with cas and secondary coolant temp sensor, but all the Nb 99/00 in Italy comes with only one sensor and no cas
