You literally asked 2 questions. And then bitched a bunch.

No question mark here but I was able to guess that it was a question.

Pretty rhetorical question. For some people this is nice, for others maybe not. Really a personal choice.

But for the record Lars answered this one straight up.

Then you asked again...not sure why.

You really didn't ask many questions. And they were pretty much the same question...

"Correctly" is a subjective term and likely the source of the difference of opinion. I would have simply referred to it as the "suggested method derived through many years of helping those coming from other platforms not to hurt themselves."

Exactly, i do appreciate what he had to say and im not saying its wrong but its not the only way. Makes no difference in what i buy first as long as i get it all. Im not the general idiot that may pop up in these forums that you guys are trying to make me out to be. While i appreciate the input he gave me, that is not the only way to do it, and i have every right to defend that fact.

Not a rhetorical question. I want to know why he thinks my idea of closeting a turbo kit out of parts i have at my disposal wouldnt be a good idea.

Nobody said that was a bad decision. Ever. People were arguing with you installing them right away.

If you wish to know how much William (Sturovo) would want for a set-up shipped to the USA, PM him. He is a great guy, and I have purchased from him small items, and I understand that others have had his heavy stuff brought into the USA.

And this is why we all think you are an idiot.

You are window shopping for a car. Then talking about what power mods you want to do. Then wanting to just reuse stuff you have even if it is not generally used in the miata world. At the end expecting to install it all and hope it all just works.

Many of us have been down similar paths and they are usually full of failure.

I think using a TD04 is a decent idea, but before you get that far there are a million other things to figure out first. Like what type of miata you getting? NA or NB. 1.6l or 1.8l. If NB 99/00 or 01+.

In the miata world there are no Cobb Access ports or RomRaiders or anything else to easily tune a stock ecu like on your Subaru. To turbo properly you will need some sort of stand alone. Speaking from experience throwing one on with everything else at once is just a recipe from failure. I had been using MS for years and still spent far to much time trying to get my miata running after doing a ton of changes at once including going to a newer MS.

So to us the correct order is usually.
1. Get a miata.
2. Tires, Suspension, Brakes.
3. Engine mangement and Wideband. Generally a MS because we are cheap. Tune.
4. Get new injectors and tune.
5. Install new clutch to hold whatever power you want to make.
6. Get boosted.

This order lets you test and get things going as you install each part. This way if there are problems it becomes much easier to diagnose and fix.

I mean, seriously.....

Really? You dont know what i know or what i have experience with. The only reason i explained myself (not argue) is because my method was said to be wrong when there is really no correct order. Ive read this thread which turned me onto possibly keeping my spare parts for a build DOWN THE LINE. Im not window shopping, cause if i wanted to buy a miata i could easily. I was doing research until i got trolled by you and your friends. You all decided to get angry real quick for no reason. For the record i do have some experience with tuning a miata, a supercharged one though. I also have some experience with a stand alone but still learning. It seems like you all are quick to make presumptions.

Shuiend, I understand that a miata is not a subaru. I understand that a stand alone is needed. However i never asked for your input on how to do things.
