I hope you plan on making some big power, or youre going to hate that throttle. A stock honda 62mm supports well over 400hp and will have better throttle response, and will be much easier to tune.
But yes, you could go buy a TPS and MAP sensor from the dealership, but they will charge an arm and a leg. You should be able to pick up good used ones all day long from local honda kids.
Also, most likely your manifold with have a 64mm opening at the largest... so unless you port it out that 70mm (which may not even be possible, especially if its not a legit Skunk2 manifold) it is actually going to make less power than a smaller one would because of the step.
I wish you had asked before buying that.

Well dont buy that then, lol
Almost all B series throttles will be 60mm, which will work very well for what you, and just about everybody else on this board is doing. The ITR throttle and S2000 throttles are 62mm, which is a little better if you happen to find one.
People basically give away D series throttles, which are mostly 55-56mm. Thats the same size as the Miatas stock throttle I think.
You dont need another map sensor if you already have one, but you will need a way to block off where the stock honda sensor goes. A lot of people with non-oem type maps (like GM 3 bar) will use a stock 1.2 bar as a block off.

Id recommend finding a B18B, B20B, or B16A2 throttle. Those are the most plentiful and cheap. Id look on craigslist.
I wouldnt pay more than 30 bucks tops, and that would be with TPS and MAP.

ok.....I just finished reading this thread from start to finish for the third time because I was sure I remembered someone posting that they have a cad file of the stock NB Mazda 1.8 intake flange. If you do please PM me so I can get this. I am going to use this for my EFR6258 build.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I just looked on egay and the b series are like 65+15 shipping. Not exactly free. And there's like 1 or 2.
Local CL shows just 1 guy selling a b series for 60.
For the millions of hondas we have in the area, I'm kinda surprised I can't find the B series stocker you keep saying is basically free.
Guess I'll keep looking.
If anyone has a hookup on these holla at me. I just bought a BLOX IM

Dude thats way too much.
If you know any hondafags, ask them to ask around for you. They are out there.
Lots of turbo D series guys upgrade to B series throttle bodies, so the D series throttles should be practically free. Maybe throw a 20 out there for one with a TPS, that would be pretty generous of you imo.
EDIT:
You know what, I know a guy. Maybe I can get him to ship you one.
