Go to the hardware store and get 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" water pipe instead?

But how to I make that expand into the wall to hold with friction? And I'd need a pipe threader because none of the off the shelf lengths would work.

Ah i see you want to expand it in the wall. That wont work man, drywall wont hold ur weight under continuous use.

If u plan on doing a good pullup routine, i'd suggest something hard mounted to the studs.

I have this chin up bar, that screws out to fit a door frame. Chromed steel tube, with rubber pads on the ends. The ends have become quite hard, as I've had this thing for decades. I suppose a piece of silicone rubber would help pad it better, and make it "stick" in place. I never use it anymore.

I'd like to offer it up to someone who will use it.

Brought in a 40lb kettlebell to the office. So far nobody has walked in while I'm doing shoulder presses.

I'm going to have to pick up the pace on this one in February and March. At my current pace, I'll only be mid 13s.

Nice. 40lb is no joke.

Since I've trained Muay Thai for 6 or 7 years (off and on) at this point, I'm solidly intermediate and more experienced than the majority of folks at any given gym I've been to.

With this new interval training stuff, I'm a total newb and not very strong naturally so it definitely has a humbling effect when you see girls working with heavier weights than you.

Big shoulders will make you look very intimidating. Front delts will make you look little like a boxer. Big rear delts will make you look big overall.. more of that bodybuilder look. The one trick though, lateral delts are needed for both.
