Can you pinch my awful fat folds?
I would agree with this! Especially in the department of tendon development (also core). I've seen so much growth in my skinny hand/wrist strength and size even following a year of deadlifting regularly before climbing. I see plenty of people climbing into their old age and I plan to do the same. Way better than golfing haha.
Nice man, I hope to continue for quite some time. Just started getting outside and leading both of which rock lol. And yes, the girls who climb are no joke and have fantastic body types. It's really rather impressive.

Luckily I have some very experienced friends and climbing partners who teach me a lot and are patient. Our gym has some great classes too which I've been getting in on.
I sat next to girl in the ER that was there for a rock/boulder climbing incident. Slipped and whacked her ankle on the way down. Dislocation, four fractures and one the "pieces" was rotated 180°. Took her six hours to see a doc.
She jumped down from bouldering onto a pile of pads. Dislocated ankle, 3 fractures, foot was all floppy. That was the end of her climbing career, and the closest I've ever come to passing out.
Wow, sure sounds like it. But I hate to break it to you- she never mentioned a husband.
I've never felt so sympathetic for somebody while being injured myself. She was a complete badass, beating back the pain, and got rewarded by being moved down the wait list.

Injuries like this are fucked up regardles of how built you are. I used to bench sets of 8 using 315 so i was fairly strong but even so i somehow managed to sprain my wrist when i did CPR when my dad passed away. I felt the sprain for about half a year.
Wife is just pissed at me now because she can't wear heels. I pulled my bicep on a gnarly overhang years ago, now I have to be cautious doing simple **** like oil changes. Cheater bars are mandatory nowadays. Yay, old age
242 but walked in at 236. I'm on my way down to 220. Dealing with injuries so the meet didn't go as planned. Finished 463/286/572. Next time.

Understanding macronutrient requirements. Smart balancing. Self control. Scheduling alcohol around your exercising habits so drinking doesn't get in the way.
Edit: or as I tell all my clients. Have some self respect and stop drinking if it get's the way of your goals.

I'm finding this out myself. I've effectively stopped going out to bars 2-3 times a week to just once maybe every other 2 weeks. Liver & wallet both seem to be happier.
