Ok, so I figured it out finally on the SS vs the 1LE package.

The 1LE gets:
- fancy black hood
- recalibrated TC systems
- specially tuned magnerhetorical dampers vs the normal mag shocks you can order as an option
- electronically controlled diff vs the standard LSD
- 285/305 Goodyear F1 tires in specific construction/compound to the 1LE package vs the stock 245/275 (obviously different forged wheels as well)
- bigger brakes front and rear, fronts get 2 piece rotors and 6 piston calipers, 4 piston in the back............standard SS is 4 piston Brembo's upfront with normal sliding in the rear (I think)

Totally well known fact that OEM's spend bajillions of dollars, and then insurance companies make them loose 20% performance, and 8% gains with there spacer. For sure.

You seem to be confused about the purpose of this website.
MSM is a lost cause.

1. Remove go-fast and fancy bits from MSM
2. Burn MSM to the ground and claim rioters/democrats/mexicans did it
3. Collect insurance money
4. Sell go-fast and fancy bits
5. Buy unmolested NB so you can start from scratch
6. Put down payment on new WRX as DD and DONT FUCKING MOD IT.
7. Win

Yup. AIDS is difficult to cure... Which makes me want the wrx :cry: --- Or stick with my original plan and put the msm on jack stands and continue the up hill battle for horsepower with a really cheap DD.

BzztztBZzzttt.. That doesn't compute. I'd rather sell the msm as is for 10k and use half for a down payment on said wrx, the other half for wrx go fast bits.

But in reality, I know I want both. Strip the msm and do megasquirt + fuel and make it a track rat.

Because they're terrible. Subaru ownership is that terrible live decision that every car guy has to make at least once before they done learned their lesson. "subaru guys" just have stolhom syndrome.

I still have my outback, but I'll never buy another subaru. When it's time to change the plugs this one will be for sale.

I've had 8 subaru's, and despite few and far between frustrations, overall loved all of them and will definitely get another sometime. In addition to the crowd mower that I currently have and also really really love. My next will likely be an 11-14 sti hatch. But I'm kinda a subaru nerd, and have built and tuned well over a few hundred of them over the past 10 years.

....That said, I'm still really not comfy with the 15+ wrx and all the new FADIT stuff they're doing with it. It will likely take them 2-3 years and the next revision to really figure out what they're doing.
