is 1,289-2,027 a good price for a shortblock rebuild/overhaul for my 6 cylinder supra to pair with the already crower cammed port polished head?

1,289 is the absolute minimum, i could do less but I want these items, its a must:

1,289 dollar list:
-ARP Studs and rod hardware
-oil pump
-MHG
-Complete long block gasket set
-piston rings and bearings
-waterpump & timing belt
-Tephlon coated NPR (oem) pistons
-Machine work for the absolute worst case scenario ($685)

It could end up cheaper if the rods are fine, crank is fine, journals are okay and block just needs light honing and resurfacing.

2,027 performace list includes everything listed but instead of OEM pistons, i got SRS Probe forged pistons with CXracing h-beam rods.

Mid build price is 1,685, with OEM pistons and h-beam rods.

Included in the "must" (lol) balance and blueprint

going for 400hp, which is achievable with stock internals and light MAF and fuel tuning, but since it IS a 7m, I want to be safe.

because I dont believe in a drop in JDM engine, and I kinda need my car right meow for the 3k i have to freely spend atm.

If I got a 1jz twin like I dream of (since its the least amount of work for an mk3), i would have to rebuild that to make myself feel better.

I also want to build my miata back up as well, and do a 5 speed swap since I now have a 5 speed transmission for it for freezees.

7m isnt so bad, once the oil pump and hg is replaced. Dont hate.

Besides, just because some bastard sold me an engine that has only 40k in mileage, doesnt mean it wasnt driven hard. I have three other vehicles that need maintaining atm, so my cash flow is being distributed between the miata, supra, lexus DD, and bronco.

my bronco is almost finished, just waiting on my detachable sway bars and beadlocks to come in.

Lexus is just needing more attention these days, its getting up there in age and mileage.

Miata is a retarded child, and needs transmission surgery.

Supra has had a hard life before me, and its starting to show it.

A minimum of two are required.

I plan on buying 6 of the size that fits.
