Good ryan, your custom stuff is always epic, makes me jealous when you do it.
Today was another long day out there, but I have all my coolers fully mounted, and I'm very happy with it.
Started with bracing for the intercooler, couple tabs and some welding to cast, drill a hole, and boom.
Apparently brass does not like to be used as a ground when welding....
Next I moved to the oil cooler. There are a variety of reasons I choose behind the rad, and its a point of debate, but I prefer it, and the benefits to me outweigh the drawbacks. This is a massive cooler, 27 row, over 12 inches long. And it fits great. I tilted the bottom of the radiator forward with some brackets, which left plenty of room behind the sway bar.

Sadly my other work spaces are somewhat clean. That table actually still has **** left over from the ABS swap last winter haha.
I've been getting better lately. But I have more stuff than space.

I tentatively signed up for a track day April 1st. I'll be instructing and told them I may or may not have my car ready. No payment, so I'm not totally worried.
The list has shrank to 4 main things.
Assemble and install engine
- Rewire CAM/Crank, add knock, add 2nd oil temp sensor
Intercooler piping
Oil cooler plumbing
- 2 simple lines
Downpipe.
I did my first turbo build in 5 days, I should be able to knock this out right?
After that its break in, street tune, then dyno.....then beat it on the track like it owes me money (which it does, a lot)

ORP. I'll be instructing and wont have paid for the track time. So it will be a little more relaxed and I can take my time working the new setup in.
I also may be pulling the 245s off the x9s and put the 225 RS3s from last august on. I need to use those tires up.

Technically mostly behind one. And IMO it's the only spot I want an oil cooler. Everywhere else is too close to debris or somewhere I don't like. Here it is protected from debris, it it gets good airflow, and as a bonus the oil won't get too cold when I street drive it.
I made a list. It's longer than my list yesterday lol. Time to get out the dart.

Crank case pressure, intercooler pressure drop, intake vacuum, general debugging. Most of it is needed, or is something that is easier to do with the engine out.
Wait. What on the list isn't needed lol.
