I did speak with Corky and he is more than willing to modify a stock 1.6L casting. So I will have two prices, one for a completely new one and a separate one for modifying the stock casting. Hopefully that can save some a few pennies.

A 99 Intake Manifold w/ straight runners is being shipped out to a customer this week for testing. Hopefully, we will know something on this application in a few.

If you could ship me out a new head, without a snapped stud, and maybe a Corky to install it for me, I could go dyno mine

You'd want Tim. He gets things installed much faster.

My '99 head swap is begging for this intake manifold. Want me to test one too?

Mildly built motor. Forged rods, tri-coated OEM pistons, 99 head with some headwork and Supertech valves, and a GT2871R turbo with your log manifold and divorced gases downpipe.
On a sidenote, I'm assembling the head to the block this weekend and will be installing that assembly, but the car will not be on the road until my differential gets back to me as I'm having 3.636 gears installed.

so...has anyone used one of these and scored target boost at lower rpm, or a general gain? I have more than enough power and torque, but I'd like to shift it to lower rpm...and not have to cut my stylish FM hood.

I'm hoping to get faster spool coupled with greater top-end. I seriously thought I'd be dynoed by now, unfortunately I fail.

The next test car I need is a 1.8L running ~ 12 psi, GT2860/GT2560 Turbo with stock internals. Need to test the bent runner intake manifold.

I'd voluneer mine again if I wasn't 2100 miles away. It's exactly what you need! You don't want to ship one for independent testing do you?!?

Note: Thanks for the water T. How do you wanna get paid for it?

If you'll sell it at a discount I'll test it on mine.

Any results yet? I just read up on cat vs test-pipe dyno stuff and I think I'm going to go another direction. Did Corky or Tim ever discuss the possibility that this intake, in whatever form, will help move more air at lower rpm and get my tater spooled-up sooner?

If I bought up this intake, I wouldn't have to cut my glorious FM hood. Steve@Powercurve and I have an arangement worked out in trade, so I could get it on the dyno quickly.

I just paid my raping fee at the machine shop to fix my head and picking it back up today.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll actually get out to the dyno. Newbsauce will have his installed and dynoed in the beginning of May.
