Sure, I will definitely send you a PM when its time for me to start my build. Again this most likely will take place at the beginning of next year, I would like to finish it off in about 2 months or so since I'm deploying mid year or so. I would like to enjoy it before I have to leave. On the wiring side I can usually decipher the diagrams after reading them for a day or so. But you say that all I need is like 13 wires that should be pretty simple to accomplish.

Ok I know I have been slacking big time on this project but I have got another wind and its time to hit it hard. I tried to find a rebuild kit for my turbo but because it is Chinese i cannot find on so on comes the new set of problems I will get to. Thanks to Faeflora he has figured out how to get my FIC working so I will be able to tune with that and I will be putting my harness back in my car shortly. I have started to build my relay center to distribute power to the harness safely and will soon have pics of that. Only thing left to do is to try and get this huge bitch I just bought to fit my car. Keep in mind I am still using a dizzy and the stock intake manifold. Good news is another supra on the same turbo and management made 460 RWHP at 15psi on pump gas so I should be good with this for a while.

Here is a few comparison pics I will get more when I actually have it in my hands.

Also I want to thank ebay for supplying me with a huge turbo for under $200 and the western hemisphere for having cheap labor to supply cheap asses like me. This turbo is good for a 1000 hp so they say. I am gonna shoot for less than half of that to be safe.lol

I have a question to anyone who wants to answer. I am thinking of turning my turbo around so the inlet is facing the fire wall. This would do me a lot of good. It would get my drain line off my manifold, clear up room for my exhaust, and I could run no intercooler straight to the engine.

Now for the question. I have no problems with the other stuff but is it really gonna hurt me to run with no intercooler. I can get a meth kit but it wont be for a while. I am thinking because of the size of the turbo the lack of hood to cover it and I am not going to be pushing it at all why would it hurt to not run an inter cooler. Does anyone have an input on this. I understand on a smaller turbo it makes a huge difference but this turbo is huge so it will not heat soak as bad and I am not going to push more than 15 psi threw a turbo made to work at 25-38psi. So my thought is I will get super fresh air from the cowl I will have plenty of open air cooling the turbo and it will not be working that hard to get hot. I am thinking about this right or totally wrong.

Not in the 9's yet.lol

I understand that gas that goes from stagnant to pressurized creates heat along with the actual heat the turbo is making but does anyone have any experience with weather or not it is enough to make a difference. I understand the concept and could do the math but what I want to know is. Is there a major major difference in a car with an intake temp of 140 degrees to a car with intake temps of 200. Obviously the car with the lower intake temp will make more power if they have the same set up but in a street car that I am not trying to gain every bit of horsepower out of does it matter?

If you're just talking about getting the car to daily driver status and aren't going to be running more than 5psi of boost and aren't going to be hammering on it then you'd be fine. Just hook it up, go for a drive and see if you hear knock. If not, then win.

That was kinda the plan but I am going to be running 15 psi because that is what the gate is set at. I do have the ability now to take timing out so I am really not worried about knock that much. If I hear knock at 10psi I am going to have to run an intercooler or something for sure.

Curious what you mean by this. Does having historic tags get you around some kind of law?

In MD if your car is 20 years or older it makes it historic. This means I do not have to get it inspected, do not have to take the emissions test, and can modify my car in anyway I want with no laws against it. Now to be fair a historic car is only supposed to be driven on weekends and to or from a shop or show with no more than 5000 miles a year, but I have had 3 cars with historic tags I drove everyday and never had a problem with it. It defiantly makes life a whole lot easier in the way of staying out of trouble for dumb **** with the police.

You should really try to cram an intercooler in there. There are many reasons why you should do it and very few why you shouldn't.

I kinda thought I would get responses to have an inter cooler but I am still really considering no inter cooler with meth. I have local access to meth and it is not that expensive but I do think the inter cooler is the best route. Now if I can find a way to run my new charge piping.

Hey Sean, if your seriously considering running the car with that huge turbo at that much boost pressure and no intercooler. Your going to have to run the car on straight methanol in order to keep it from detonating. Either way get this beast on the road!!!!!! BTW which F/IC did you end up getting?

I have a shop local to me that sells straight methanol so that was the plan and there is 5 different levels of it and he has it all in stock all the time so there is no problem there.

The F/IC I am running is the cyl. universal the part number is AEM Part# 30-1910.

I have found a second wind and some money that is why I am doing mad work on it right now.So as of right now I have all the following on the way.

New super awesome huge Chinese turbo
new feed line fitting
new drain line flange
new -10an to 1/2ntp 45
Faeflora doing mad work on my F/IC
4 Gang realy box
16 gang fuse box
10 gang power buss

So all I need is all my **** to come in so I can just get it in the car. Should be a lot of fun though. I may just run it with no intercooler until I can get it to the shop to make the piping we will see how it works out.

Well if you have access to methanol then go for it, I see that's quite a list to get done. How much longer before you get this on the road kicking a** and dropping fast passes on the track.

I have complete access trio meth all it would intail is wiring up the kit. On another note I duly intend to start tuning in the next two months witch means I will be able to daily it by the begining of next year to give myself a realistic time line.

You're not going to clock the turbo in another direction to make it easier to pipe to the intake?

Guillo you are flat out wrong about having to run 100pct meth if no intercooler.

If sprayed, Meth will cool the charge below ambient.

Just my opinion: dont be ghetto man, just do it right or not at all. Why not make a ffim, proper fmic and piping, and run everything in a known good configuration?
I think running 15psi non-intercooled is retarded and dangerous.
And running a water/meth kit and constantly refilling it just cause you couldn't put together a proper ic setup is also a shitty way of going about it.

Its your car of course, so do as you wish, I just think sometimes going to extremes to avoid doing something right ends up being fail and aids and not worth the effort in the end.
