So the miata may go on the road a lot sooner than I originally planned. I am thinking about putting it on the road as a NA until I can get a nother car because I decided it would be a good idea to stuff my civic in the back of a corrolla this morning. So I may just put stock injectors in it and use the FIC loop harness to let it run the stock ecu. I am still undecided but this is what my civic looks like.

****! Single slam got slammed. I think it was because the car disliked the headlights

Seriously it should be pretty cake to get that thing straight again. I miss my hatch, got 35mpg and the little z6 made it quite fun to daily.

Ok so I am not going to be putting my car on the road na I will be continuing with my build the way it is. I have found a few other cars I would like to get all of them are EF hatch backs( for you non honda guys the same car I had). With a number of different problems from different cars. But being that I have a new motor, trans, clutch, wiring harness, ecu, and everything else dealing with the motor in my car I am going to pick one up for around $500 and swap everything over. When I get this done I will be back on track with my car and try to start some tuning on the F/IC.

i am very interested to understanding more about this swap. i am thinking more along the lines of a NA build for the 2jz, hi comp pistons and a nice header. im sure it would sound quite beastly.

Currently the car is not running I got a new turbo for it and a AEM F/IC I am working to install those now so it should be up and running in the next month. Once I get it running I can start tuning. I hope to go to some of the local miata meets and I am sure I will go to some of the ISP meets.

Ok here is what is going on. I currently cannot get my F/IC to connect to my computer not any of my 4 computers.lol I am going to call AEM on monday to see if I am doing something wrong. I am parting out my 91 hatch for money for a new car witch I found out today is going to be a 95 miata. It is my dads "beater car" but it is in great shape it is blue with tan interior and fully loaded A/C and all.lol I will keep you updated when I find out what is wrong with my F/IC

this build is awesome... I just fell upon a buddy of mine trying to part out an entire lexus with a 2jzge in it. He told me I could tow if off his property for 550.
this build is making me contemplate going this route hardcore.

Do it making the mounts is pretty easy if you have any fabrication skills at all. The rest of it is trying to figure out where to mount stuff, and then the wiring. If you do go this route let me know I can help with the wiring.

I have no fab skills whatsoever, but I do have some money coming into my lap relatively soon, I might just look for a spare shell and do it big from scratch. I am only good at electrical stuff to be honest, and I have managed to learn the right hand rule for wrenching, lol. I will definitely be looking to you for help if I pull the trigger on it.

So I have hit another snap in my project but not at fault to me this time. I am having problems with my FIC still I am going to send it to AEM to have them look at it. On a more serious note someone has taken the liberty of taking my turbo from my house. I have searched high and low looking for it hoping I miss placed it. How it would be very unlikely but it is gone so now I need to get another one. FML

Can you control timing with the FIC on a distributor engine? I've been looking into getting a FIC from a friend but thought I was going to have to use a MSD box to keep up with the timing control

It depends on how your car is set up. The Toyota uses a igniter to control timing on the dizzy so in my case yes I can control timing with it but I can only remove timing I cannot add it. Witch in my case is ok because the Toyota has about 35 deg of total timing in the upper rpms so I just pullout what I dont need and call it a day.

Yea I have looked every where and it is gone so now I need to get another one this ******* sucks. It's not so much the money for the turbo I can always find more money its the fact that someone I allow in my house stole something from me and that is far more scary than $350.
